I think the anti-bullying campaigns in schools was a good thing...heartfelt and well-intended. The upshot, though? The lines got so blurred as to what is and what isn't bullying, that everything became offensive.

Teachers were seen as SURROGATE PARENTS- with all the rights and obligations of parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And kids have become all to familiar with the LIMITATIONS of adult authority thanks to day care and those daily bus rides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In olden times the kids would visit each other in their houses...........if a kid acted like a dork the kid would be ejected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An ejected kid would then have time to consider how and why other kids are being invited in while he IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In such a situation there is incentive to consider altering social behaviour to win acceptance and inclusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is pressure to conform to standard acceptable behaviour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kid in daycare HAS NO such pressure to be socially acceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daycare kids are prisoners of their setting- they are thrown together for a set period of time regardless of preferences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kid in daycare who finds himself dealing with somebody he does not like CANNOT simply send the offending kid away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nor can the offended kid chose to LEAVE in order to escape unpleasantness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And of course the adults at daycare are tending to multiple kids- the daycare worker CANNOT do as a frustrated mother at home would do and simply send some rude kids HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And of course the daycare worker has no more ability to discipline a kid than a typical teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And once kids start riding those school buses- they enter the Wild West!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There IS NO LAW ON A SCHOOL BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kids are TOTALLY ON THEIR OWN ON A BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The driver is paid to DRIVE- NOTHING MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The driver who stops the bus in order to deal with a problem HAD BETTER HAVE A DAMNED GOOD REASON for doing so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A school bus halted in a non scheduled stop is a big deal for time strapped parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Delays in getting the kids home cause trouble and worry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And of course the driver MAY make a report to school authorities or his boss- and so what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The driver is concentrating on the road- or ought to be- and will often MISS the first minutes of a problem that is beginning to fester!!!!!!!!!!
So in the event that any adult attempts to unravel fights or trouble on a school bus - it quickly degenerates into he said/she said etc- with NO RESOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And God help the teacher who calls in parents to discuss their child`s antics on a bus or school yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time strapped parents BLAME TEACHERS for not maintaining control and discipline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are about 15,000 graduates of Ontari-owe teacher college every year...............but there are omly about 5,000 new hires!!!!!!!!!!!!
What it comes down to is that the teacher who too often sends miss-behaving kids out of class so they cannot disrupt the learning opportunities of other kids- will be CONDEMNED as not being able to control the class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a load of rubbish. Students are far more well-behaved today than they were in the 60s and 70s. I recently asked a longtime teacher why that is, and their response was 'because teachers are required to show them respect in return'. It goes both ways, and kids these days are miles ahead of any MAGA-hat conception of school and student behavior.

Here is a nice article proving what I have said before about the danger of proportional representation-that miserable excuse for democracy that prime minister Justin Trudope is determined to push on us. AS I have said before-a proportional representation system gives extremist groups undue power. Statistics Canada has already stated that Cdn debt rises fastest under a LIE-beral/NDP coalition. With two parties sharing power, there are two separate `wish lists` to be paid for.
One has only to look at Italy or Greece to see the consequences of multiple parties sharing power-something like 70 govts Italian in 65 years. This is NOT a plan for stability or long term planning. Proportional representation ONLY fuels big govts, civil service union Hogs and major debts while the economy collapses. Here is the article, along with some comments of my own in brackets):

Passage of an anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) resolution at the Green Party’s national convention Sunday illustrates the dangers of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s plan for electoral reform.
Sadly the Greens, both in Canada and internationally, spend an inordinate amount of time targeting the Mideast’s only democracy for human rights violations, especially for a party which claims to be focused on the environment.
They also passed a watered-down motion, at party leader Elizabeth May’s urging, originally intended to target a specific Jewish charity for alleged human rights violations, by expanding it to include any charity they say violates human rights.
May said she opposed the “polarizing” BDS resolution and the BDS campaign.
But she also recently objected to Parliament’s passage by a 229-51 vote of a resolution condemning the BDS movement, which said, correctly, that its purpose is to de-legitimize Israel. May, absent for that vote, called it an attack on free speech.
(Oh that is NICE! May is doing a fine LIE-beral style job of talking out of both sides of her mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The larger point is the Greens, having endorsed the BDS campaign their own leader says she opposes, illustrate how easy it is for narrowly-focused special interests to capture the agenda of small parties to promote their own ideologies.
Indeed, the Greens recently had to start their process for expelling one of their own members, a Green candidate in three elections, after B’nai Brith uncovered a video of her espousing Holocaust denial.
(Israelis themselves denounce the undue power given to extremist groups in THEIR government by proportional representation. While European leaders denounce the power given to extremists of both the right and the left by this failed proportional electoral system!)
The danger here is that replacing our first-past-the-post voting system with proportional representation will result in small parties wielding an enormous amount of power, well beyond what their seats in Parliament will merit.
(And BOTH Israelis and Italians have complained about the political chaos sponsored by proportional representation and a horde of lunatic fringe parties jockeying for position!! And the New Zealand govt experimented with electoral reform and then went back to first past the post!)
The reason is that since victorious federal parties rarely win over 50% of the popular vote in elections, proportional representation will lead to frequent minority governments, where major parties have to make deals with smaller ones, who often have very narrow agendas, to stay in power.
Perhaps many Canadians would have no problem with the Greens supporting an international boycott of Israel as part of a governing coalition, and using their political clout to try to turn that into government policy. But how would they feel about a party whose main platform was to oppose abortions, or shut down Canada’s immigration system, doing the same?
(And I ask: how would Cdns feel about an Islamic party insisting on the implementation of Sharia Law in Canada in exchange for their votes at a critical time? Muslims have ALREADY approached our Ontari-owe govt about enforcing Sharia Law “in their community”. And we know that Muslim groups believe that it is the fate of Canada to be come a Muslim nation. How desperate could a political group get about hanging onto power?)
(Let me point out that the LIE-beral/NDP alliance WAS WILLING to share power with Bloc Quebcois-with the Bloc retaining TOTAL VETO POWER over all Federal legislation! Yes-the LIE-beral/NDP coalition was willing to give huge power to a group sworn to destroy Canada! So would they be willing to do deals with Muslim radicals to hang onto power in future?)
An illustration of this failing with proportional representation occurs, ironically enough, in Israel, where there are numerous small political parties, some with very narrow agendas, including extreme religious views.
The problem is they often wield political power far beyond what their numbers in the Knesset warrant, because of the need for Israel’s three major parties — Likud, Labour and Kadima — to form coalitions with them in order to obtain or stay in power.
There are safeguards that can be put in place in a proportional representation system to reduce this risk, such as setting a high threshold of the vote a party has to obtain to win seats.
(But of course Justin Trudope-Our brainless Boy will not install ANY sort of safeguards on the new system he wants to dump us into. The ugly truth is that he wants to jam up the wheels of govt so it cannot ever be steered away from HIS value system-and we should remember that the Trudopes are hardcore communists-with father Pierre Trudope openly praising Chairman Mao for “his willingness to rush thirty million Chinese to the gallows’ in order to consolidate his power. The Trudopes despise what they see as western imperialism-Pierre Trudope went so far as to call the British/Canadian war against Nazi Germany as `Imperialist`!)
But the possibility of unintended consequences — of extreme political agendas being imposed on the public that most people don’t want — is always there.
(But sadly -imposing extremist agendas is exactly what LIE-berals want to do in their Brave New “post nationalist World”!!!!!!!!!!!)
Just think> If he have made an inappropriate comment he would have been removed from the school. But since this is only other people's money we are talking about no harm no foul.

The educational achievement of white youngsters is nothing to write home about, but that achieved by blacks is nothing less than disgraceful.
Let’s look at a recent example of an educational outcome all too common. In 2016, in 13 of Baltimore’s 39 high schools, not a single student scored proficient on the state’s mathematics exam. In six other high schools, only 1% tested proficient in math. In raw numbers, 3,804 Baltimore students took the state’s math test, and 14 tested proficient. Citywide, only 15% of Baltimore students passed the state’s English test.
(These sort of numbers are WAY BEYOND anything that a teacher can resolve! In fact I defy anybody to point to another time in history when such a large part of the population simply dropped out and refused to participate! This stuff is a form of collective madness- and it is cops who get to deal with the fallout!)
Last spring, graduation exercises were held at one Baltimore high school, 90% of whose students received the lowest possible math score. Just one student came even close to being proficient. Parents and family members applauded the conferring of diplomas. Some of the students won achievement awards and college scholarships.
(One really has to aks if it is helpful to respond to total failure in such a delusional fashion! No need to be insulting to kids bedevilled with social problems and dysfunctional families but such massive pretending is not useful either! Surely it is insulting to DENY on such a scale? Praise un-deserved is sarcasm veiled?)
Baltimore is by no means unique. It’s a small part of the ongoing education disaster for black students across the nation. Baltimore schools are not underfunded. Of the nation’s 100 largest school systems, Baltimore schools rank third in spending per pupil.
(That Baltimore fact gives the lie to Ontari-owe teachers claims they would get better results with more money! Throw money at teachers and all you get is massive debts and wealthy teachers!)
Baltimore’s black students receive diplomas that attest that they can function at a 12th-grade level when in fact they may not be able to do so at a seventh- or eighth-grade level. These students and their families have little reason to suspect that their diplomas are fraudulent. Thus, if they cannot land a good job, cannot pass a civil service exam, get poor grades in college and flunk out of college, they will attribute their plight to racism. After all, they have a high school diploma, just as a white person has a high school diploma. In their minds, the only explanation for being treated differently is racism.
(Is this educational FAKERY at the heart of the racial divide? Are Black people that profoundly ignorant of the world? Much has been made of the failure rate of black kids in college- it seems they get in on a quota system- that the college SHOULD have a certain number of blacks- so the “best educated” blacks are allowed in on that basis- and then THEY FAIL because they cannot do the work and NOT because of racism!)
Let’s look at math. If one graduates from high school without a minimum proficiency in algebra and geometry, he is likely to find whole fields and professions hermetically sealed off to him for life. In many fields and professions, a minimum level of math proficiency is taken for granted.
Let’s look at just one endeavour — being a fighter jet pilot. There are relatively few black fighter jet pilots. There are stringent physical, character and mental requirements that many blacks can meet. But fighter pilots must also have a strong knowledge of air navigation, aircraft operating procedures, flight theory, fluid mechanics and meteorology. The college majors that help prepare undergraduates for a career as a fighter pilot include mathematics, physical science and engineering.
What’s the NAACP response to educational fraud? At a 2016 meeting, the NAACP’s board of directors ratified a resolution that called for a moratorium on charter schools. Among the NAACP’s reasons for this were that it wanted charter schools to refrain from “expelling students that public schools have a duty to educate” and “cease to perpetuate de facto segregation of the highest performing children from those whose aspirations may be high but whose talents are not yet as obvious.” Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys is a charter school. In 2016, 9% of its students scored proficient on the state’s math test. This year, over 14% did so. It’s in the interest of black people for more of our youngsters to attend better schools. However, it’s in the interest of the education establishment — and its handmaidens at the NAACP — to keep black youngsters in failing public schools.
Few people bother to ask whether there’s a connection between what goes on at predominantly black high schools and observed outcomes. Violence at many predominantly black schools is so routine that security guards are hired to patrol the hallways. The violence includes assaults on teachers. Some have been knocked out, had their jaws broken and required treatment by psychologists for post-traumatic stress disorder. On top of the violence is gross disorder and disrespect for authority.
The puzzling question for me is: How long will black people accept the educational destruction of black youngsters — something that only benefits the education establishment.
(The ugly reality is that black kids are apparently being streamed into select schools largely to PROTECT white students from black kids carrying a hopeless and destructive attitude! The nation NEEDS well educated and disciplined school graduates to keep the economy functioning- dumping black kids with what amounts to mental health issues into other classes where the students are actually learning will HARM the more successful kids- and hurt the main stream economy! The hard question is what to do with black kids whose attitudes are so poisoned? The LIE-beral habit of bleating about systemic racism is NOT HELPING! Letting black kids off the hook- for their own failings by encouraging them to think of themselves as victims ENTITLED to some sort of blood money from white people will NOT encourage blacks to move ahead in any sensible way!)

I'm pretty sure people who are 12 and older could qualify for a phd long before the age of 25 if the classes were online so the 'student wakes up already in school' so anything related to getting from home to classes and back is now all study time. There are lots of diy sites so you can get specific training without any other knowledge being required.
