You maen, like a Honda from Alliston, Ontario or a Toyota from Ingersoll? From now on, all the GMs will be assembled in a foreign country ... not a very friendly one anymore, either.

No I mean built on Canadian soil by Canadian employees earning Canadian dollars - what make or model they stamp on them is irrelevant.

Northern Ontario,
Didn't GM start demolishing parts of the Oshawa plant before trump became president?
2015 to be exact?
I just remembered that place in 2015 and looking at the demolition process as we were driving by that place....

There were several lines, there and these were the last (2?) that got the axe. Ste There's, the Scarbourough Van Plant, and the Oshawa GMC plant have also been bulldozed in recent years. G.M. has been slowly moving out of Canada for decades as they flirt with bankruptcy.

That's "Ste. Therese" but the spell check will not let me make that character string. It has changed it five times and INSISTS that it's "Steve's There's".

GM still owns Cami in Ingersoll. I believe they are still making the Equinox there.

IT's open and running because the public is buying that product.

GM and Ford are betting beaten up on cars. That's where they need to cut bait.

Their SUV and truck business is thriving - and they need to get their electric production spooled up.

Well, that's Honda, Toyota and Ford, right now. Tesla has expressed an interest in the soon to be idled GM plant in Oshawa.

Electric cars are OK for old ladies to drive to Bingo. Besides that they are pretty much useless!

My mother would not have driven an electric TOY car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The extreme cost would put her off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The need for a costly fast charger installed by an electrician in her garage would have annoyed her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And she is scared of major electrical shocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIE-bwerals are wasting huge money trying to create and electric TOY car industry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

auto makers are laying people today.

Gosh.........are ordinary people entitled to get laid in LIE-beral Canada???????????????????????

LIE-berals plan to use their carbon crap and trade scam to make sure we cannot heat our houses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure we cannot afford hot water to clean and bathe with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure we cannot get to work since gas powered cars will be illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And our public transit is ALREADY OVER LOADED and worn out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course those costly electric TOY carws that are beloved of LIE-berals will be too costly for most of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course it wont really matter what the electric toy cars cost because the carbon crap and trade scam will kill off most of our jobs anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we can just hang out around the "temporary homeless shelter and wait for some civil service union Hog to hand out the bowls of soup and bread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staying home and having LIE-berals laying us might not be so bad?????????????????????

But will LIE-berals respect us in the morning?????????????????????

HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY DONT RESPECT US NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though Our idiot Boy and his loser LIE-berals have not yet managed to turn Canada into a Soviet dictatorship just yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But LIE-berals ARE WORKING ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DECEIT ABOUT LIE-BERAL GOALS AND TRUE MOTIVES IS THE ORDER OF THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canada is definitely NOT ready for electric vehicles. Most of our rivers have already been compromised and much of our animal habitat has been flooded, while we in the enviable situation of having billions of barrels of a valuable resource sitting in the ground and ready for use. Only idiots would wish otherwise! :)

The point was, "why switch when gas is as plentiful as ever and it will be cheap for some time'.

The part they are missing is gas may become 'rare'.

There are scads of Teslas around where I live. It has become quite a common car marwue, in fact. It is downright trendy to own one and the local Tesla dealer (Yes, there is one in Oakville) can't get enough inventory to satisfy the demand.

You might ammend your statement to read "Rural Canada is definitely NOT ready for electric vehicles."

88% of us live in urban areas, btw.
