George W. Bush Wades Into Government Shutdown Chaos as Pizza Delivery Guy

Just like the two previous shutdowns of 2018, the third budget crisis of Donald Trump's presidency was triggered by stark disagreements between the Republicans and the Democrats over border security. Trump has threatened that the ongoing shutdown could last "even years" if he does not receive the funding he needs for his long-promised border wall.

George W. Bush, the 43th US President, has reached out to government workers who've missed their pay checks due to the partial shutdown of US government agencies, the longest in the nation's history to date.
He and his wife, Laura W. Bush, have delivered pizza to agents of the Secret Service, the agency protecting current and former US presidents and their families.

Suspects sexually abused at least 23 children, aged from 4 to 13, for ten years in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and filmed terabytes of pornographic materials. However, investigators suspect that there might be more victims. Local youth welfare offices are also being investigated.

Three men, a 56-year-old suspect, a 33-year-old and a 48-year-old, considered the head of the group, have been arrested in Germany over suspicions that they abused children and produced child pornography for a decade, police and prosecutors stated during a press conference in the city of Detmold on Wednesday.
The head of the investigative committee, Gunnar Weiss, revealed that there are more than 1,000 individual episodes. The 48-year-old has reportedly filed a partial confession, while the other two men have remained silent. According to the police, the main suspect and the 33-year-old supposedly met in relevant chatrooms on the so-called Darknet around 2008 and arranged everything for their gruesome activities at a campsite near the border with Lower Saxony, where one of them lived.

The DOJ Reopens Epstein’s Child-Trafficking Conviction-Clinton Foundation Worried

The DOJ has announced that they are reopening their investigation into the light sentencing of Jeffrey Epstein on Child-Sex-Trafficking convictions. This is potentially bad news for the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation. However, they might be a danger for the President as well.

Justice Department opens new probe into Jeffrey Epstein plea deal

Acosta reportedly helped Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire pedophile who was found guilty of abusing more than 80 women, cut a secret non-prosecution agreement that shut down a federal investigation into a trans-Atlantic sex trafficking operation of underage girls when he was the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. The alleged crimes could have put Epstein in prison for life. Instead, Acosta, as the U.S. attorney handling the case, negotiated an “extraordinary plea agreement that would conceal the extent of Epstein’s crimes and the number of people involved,” according to a sweeping in-depth expose, published last year by The Miami Herald.
Epstein eventually pleaded guilty to state charges involving a single victim in 2008. He served only 13 months in county jail, he was allowed to leave six days a week for 12 hours due to a work release provision. But, according to a civil lawsuit filed by two women who said they were among Epstein’s victims, which was unexpectedly settled last year after more than a decade ago, one of the conditions of Epstein’s plea agreement was that a much larger FBI investigation into Epstein and the other people who took part in his sex crimes would be shut down. The agreement also guaranteed that Epstein and the adult women he allegedly hired to procure young women to his mansion and arrange his sex sessions, whom the Herald referred to as his “co-conspirators,” also received immunity from prosecution.

There is no such thing as a 'child prostitute'

No one even knows how many girls there were.

Federal prosecutors identified 36. In "Perversion of Justice," a stunning piece of investigative work by Julie K. Brown that was published last week, the Miami Herald reported that it has found 80. But accounts given by the girls themselves suggest there may be hundreds.

Hundreds.

We're talking underage girls, some as young as 13, troubled children, children living in foster care, children of addicts and abusers, children of poverty and molestation, children who were homeless runaways, children who, in the early 2000s, were lured by promises of easy money to the Palm Beach estate of Jeffrey Epstein, a multimillionaire money manager whose friends included Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. There, they say they would massage him or watch him masturbate, perform oral sex or have intercourse. Epstein, they say, went through as many as three girls a day. Then those girls were sent to recruit others.

And as retired Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter, who supervised the 2005 police investigation into this crime, told the Herald, "This was not a 'he said, she said' situation. This was 50-something 'shes' and one 'he' - and the 'shes' all basically told the same story." Moreover, the stories were backed up by a trove of physical evidence. Epstein could have been put away for life.

Instead, Miami federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta offered the rich man a deal. He would plead guilty to just two charges of prostitution involving one 14-year-old girl. An ongoing FBI investigation would be shut down. He would serve 13 months.

Hundreds of girls. Thirteen months.

You read all this in an escalating fury. But you literally don't know who or what to be angriest about.

There's Epstein, of course, seen in his mugshot smirking at the camera. There's Sarah Kellen Vickers, who allegedly scheduled his "massages." There's British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who allegedly (she denies it) organized sex parties and taught girls to perform to Epstein's satisfaction. There's a culture that, when faced with acts of exploitation and rape against women and girls, ponders how it can make the problem go away so as not to inconvenience the men.

The legal team for Attorney Alan Dershowitz has cautioned against press access to a hearing regarding his former client and associate, convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein - who was given a slap on the wrist in 2008 by then-US Attorney for southern Florida (and current Labor Secretary) Alex Acosta. Epstein sexually abused dozens of underage girls in his Palm Beach mansion, while Acosta is under fire separately of the sealed records appeal.

Epstein, a billionaire and friend of the Clintons (Bill Clinton flew on his "Lolita Express" Boeing 727 jet dozens of times), was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution - on of two counts for which he served 13 months in "custody with work release."
Epstein, now 66, reached the deal in 2008 with then-Miami U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta’s office to end the federal probe that could have landed him in prison for life. Epstein instead pleaded guilty to lesser state charges, spent 13 months in jail, paid financial settlements to victims and is a registered sex offender. -Time

The Essence Of Evil: Sex With Children Has Become Big Business In America

Children, young girls - some as young as 9 years old - are being bought and sold for sex in America. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old.
This is America’s dirty little secret.

Sex trafficking—especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls—has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.
As investigative journalist Amy Fine Collins notes, “It’s become more lucrative and much safer to sell malleable teens than drugs or guns. A pound of heroin or an AK-47 can be retailed once, but a young girl can be sold 10 to 15 times a day—and a ‘righteous’ pimp confiscates 100 percent of her earnings.”
Consider this: every two minutes, a child is exploited in the sex industry.
According to USA Today, adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the United States.
Who buys a child for sex? Otherwise ordinary men from all walks of life.
They could be your co-worker, doctor, pastor or spouse,” writes journalist Tim Swarens, who spent more than a year investigating the sex trade in America.
In Georgia alone, it is estimated that 7,200 men (half of them in their 30s) seek to purchase sex with adolescent girls each month, averaging roughly 300 a day.
On average, a child might be raped by 6,000 men during a five-year period of servitude.
It is estimated that at least 100,000 children—girls and boys—are bought and sold for sex in the U.S. every year, with as many as 300,000 children in danger of being trafficked each year. Some of these children are forcefully abducted, others are runaways, and still others are sold into the system by relatives and acquaintances.
“Human trafficking—the commercial sexual exploitation of American children and women, via the Internet, strip clubs, escort services, or street prostitution—is on its way to becoming one of the worst crimes in the U.S.,” said prosecutor Krishna Patel.
This is an industry that revolves around cheap sex on the fly, with young girls and women who are sold to 50 men each day for $25 apiece, while their handlers make $150,000 to $200,000 per child each year.
This is not a problem found only in big cities.
It’s happening everywhere, right under our noses, in suburbs, cities and towns across the nation.
As Ernie Allen of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children points out, “The only way not to find this in any American city is simply not to look for it.”
Don’t fool yourselves into believing that this is merely a concern for lower income communities or immigrants.
It’s not.
It is estimated that there are 100,000 to 150,000 under-aged child sex workers in the U.S. These girls aren’t volunteering to be sex slaves. They’re being lured—forced—trafficked into it. In most cases, they have no choice.
In order to avoid detection (in some cases aided and abetted by the police) and cater to male buyers’ demand for sex with different women, pimps and the gangs and crime syndicates they work for have turned sex trafficking into a highly mobile enterprise, with trafficked girls, boys and women constantly being moved from city to city, state to state, and country to country.
For instance, the Baltimore-Washington area, referred to as The Circuit, with its I-95 corridor dotted with rest stops, bus stations and truck stops, is a hub for the sex trade.
No doubt about it: this is a highly profitable, highly organized and highly sophisticated sex trafficking business that operates in towns large and small, raking in upwards of $9.5 billion a year in the U.S. alone by abducting and selling young girls for sex.
Every year, the girls being bought and sold gets younger and younger.
The average age of those being trafficked is 13. Yet as the head of a group that combats trafficking pointed out, “Let’s think about what average means. That means there are children younger than 13. That means 8-, 9-, 10-year-olds.
“For every 10 women rescued, there are 50 to 100 more women who are brought in by the traffickers. Unfortunately, they’re not 18- or 20-year-olds anymore,” noted a 25-year-old victim of trafficking. “They’re minors as young as 13 who are being trafficked. They’re little girls.”
Where did this appetite for young girls come from?
Look around you.
Young girls have been sexualized for years now in music videos, on billboards, in television ads, and in clothing stores. Marketers have created a demand for young flesh and a ready supply of over-sexualized children.
“All it takes is one look at MySpace photos of teens to see examples—if they aren’t imitating porn they’ve actually seen, they’re imitating the porn-inspired images and poses they’ve absorbed elsewhere,” writes Jessica Bennett for Newsweek. “Latex, corsets and stripper heels, once the fashion of porn stars, have made their way into middle and high school.”
This is what Bennett refers to as the “pornification of a generation.”
“In a market that sells high heels for babies and thongs for tweens, it doesn’t take a genius to see that sex, if not porn, has invaded our lives,” concludes Bennett. “Whether we welcome it or not, television brings it into our living rooms and the Web brings it into our bedrooms. According to a 2007 study from the University of Alberta, as many as 90 percent of boys and 70 percent of girls aged 13 to 14 have accessed sexually explicit content at least once.”
In other words, the culture is grooming these young people to be preyed upon by sexual predators. And then we wonder why our young women are being preyed on, trafficked and abused?
Social media makes it all too easy. As one news center reported, “Finding girls is easy for pimps. They look on MySpace, Facebook, and other social networks. They and their assistants cruise malls, high schools and middle schools. They pick them up at bus stops. On the trolley. Girl-to-girl recruitment sometimes happens.” Foster homes and youth shelters have also become prime targets for traffickers.
Rarely do these girls enter into prostitution voluntarily. Many start out as runaways or throwaways, only to be snatched up by pimps or larger sex rings. Others, persuaded to meet up with a stranger after interacting online through one of the many social networking sites, find themselves quickly initiated into their new lives as sex slaves.

Friend of Presidents and Rock Stars: 3 Things to Know About Jeffrey Epstein Amid New Sex Charges

66-year-old hedge fund manager and convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein was arrested Saturday on multiple counts of alleged sex trafficking and abuse of minors. The billionaire, who received a slap on the wrist sentence for his previous conviction, and is seen by many as a symbol of the corruption of the US criminal justice system.

Little Black Book of Presidents, Rock Stars and Royalty

The list of politicians, monarchs, and celebrities who once called Epstein friends or attended his parties is staggering, with 97 pages from an address book submitted in court in 2015 including the names, phone numbers, home addresses and email addresses of some of the most powerful and influential people in the world.
Featuring prominently in the contact details was former US President Bill Clinton and members of his staff, for whom Epstein had a total of 21 numbers. Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who had a public friendship with Epstein, was also on this list, with 16 separate phone numbers for the prince and another 18 for Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Donald Trump's ex-wife Ivana and daughter Ivanka were also listed in Epstein's phonebook, with Trump himself known to have attended parties at the billionaire's estates in the 1990s. In 2002, Trump told New York Magazine Epstein was "a lot of fun to be with" and that "he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."

Prince Andrew is seen with Virginia Roberts during a visit to New York with Andrew's friend and alleged "pimp" Jeffrey Epstein

Other high-profile names in the book included members of the Kennedy family, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Prince Charles, former US senator George Mitchell, billionaires Michael Bloomberg, Richard Branson and Rupert Murdoch, designer Tom Ford, rock stars Mick Jagger and Courtney Love, movie stars Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Elizabeth Hurley, journalist Barbara Walters, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, along with many others.
Some celebrities, including journalists Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos and film director Woody Allen, were known to have attended parties hosted by Epstein even after he was released from jail following his sex crimes conviction in 2008. In 2015, flight logs from Epstein's private plane, which made regular trips to his private island in the US Virgin Islands, were shown to have flown in other big names to the billionaire's homes, including well-known attorney Alan Dershowitz, model Naomi Campbell, and former Treasury Secretary and Harvard president Larry Summers.
Slap on the Wrist Jail Term

In 2008, Epstein made a plea deal with Florida prosecutors, pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution from a single underage girl and sentenced to 18 months in prison following a years-long FBI investigation. He went on to serve only 13 months of the sentence, was allowed to leave jail six days a week for work, and was held at a private wing of his Florida prison. After his release, he was subject to a year of house arrest, but allowed to fly back and forth to and from his properties along the Eastern Seaboard.

Twitter seeks to dismiss B.C. businessman’s lawsuit over ’defamatory’ tweets
Canadian Press

VANCOUVER — Twitter Inc. is asking the British Columbia Supreme Court to dismiss or stay a defamation lawsuit filed by a local businessman and philanthropist because the court lacks jurisdiction.
The social media company has filed an application in response to a lawsuit by Frank Giustra, the founder of Lionsgate Entertainment and CEO of the Fiore Group of Companies.
He alleges in a statement of claim that Twitter published a number of “false and defamatory” tweets about him and has neglected or refused to remove many of the posts despite his repeated requests.
Giustra sits on the Clinton Foundation board, a non-profit organization founded by former U.S. president Bill Clinton, and says the tweets escalated during the 2016 United States election, accusing him of being involved in “pizzagate,” a debunked child sex trafficking conspiracy theory.
Twitter says in its application that the court should either dismiss or stay the action or decline jurisdiction in favour of the courts in California, where the company is headquartered.
It says if Giustra wants to pursue the action, he should do so in California where most witnesses and documents are located and where any judgment granted in his favour could be enforced.
Twitter says in its application filed in June that it provides a “platform for expression” and none of the tweets at issue in Giustra’s claim were written or posted by the company.
It says it believes users should be safe in expressing their views and that it has a community of online safety experts who develop and enforce rules and policies to prohibit abusive and threatening behaviour.
“Given the volume of users and tweets, Twitter cannot proactively screen all content posted on the platform and relies, in part, on user reports in order to identify content that violates its rules and policies,” it says.
Giustra’s statement of claim filed in April says he faced a targeted attack on Twitter by a group who set out to vilify him for political purposes starting around February 2015.
“Those publications included tweets stating that the plaintiff is ‘corrupt,’ a ‘murderous thief,’ a ‘criminal,’ and is involved in ‘pizzagate,’ ” it says, referring to the unfounded conspiracy theory that claimed Democrats harbour child sex slaves at a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C.
His lawsuit alleges Twitter also published threatening posts, including suggestions that Giustra be killed with two “bullets to the back of his head.”
He says the tweets have damaged his professional and personal reputation and caused “significant emotional distress and anxiety” for him and his family.
Giustra wants two mandatory permanent injunctions: one requiring Twitter to remove or prevent publication of the tweets, and another requiring Twitter to monitor for and prevent defamatory tweets in the future. He’s also seeking general damages and costs.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
Giustra could not immediately be reached for comment.
The company says it took action in response to several letters and emails sent by Giustra from 2016 through 2019 requesting that it remove certain tweets.
Twitter explains that if a tweet violates a rule or policy, it requires users to remove it before they’re allowed to post again. The tweet is made publicly unavailable while the user removes it or appeals.
If the violation was “egregious” or the user continues the behaviour, the company may permanently suspend the account.
The application says Twitter won’t take action if the tweet doesn’t violate a rule or policy, and sometimes users delete offending tweets or deactivate their accounts before the company contacts them.
Twitter says it followed this process for the 98 tweets at issue in Giustra’s claim and as of late June, most have been removed and are unable to be viewed in Canada.
Of the 18 tweets that remain on the platform, eight are blocked in Canada but are accessible outside of the country, it says.
It says that Giustra has a “significant presence and reputation” in California, where he owns home in Beverly Hills.
By contrast, it says Twitter has no employees or assets in B.C. or Canada, apart from a subsidiary in Toronto, Twitter Canada ULC, which primarily focuses on marketing.

Darknet Cybercrime Servers Easing Drugs Sales, Child Pornography Seized in Ex-NATO Bunker in Germany

The darknet hub reportedly popped up in 2013, in a place that could hardly raise suspicions – a North Atlantic Alliance former bunker and hosted a plethora of cybercrime platforms, including the drugs and counterfeit sales platform Wall Street Market.

In a sweeping operation involving Germany's elite federal police units, the GSG 9, a 600-strong team of law enforcement personnel raided the cybercrime data centre; which despite being shut-down by authorities, appeared to be covertly housed inside a former NATO bunker, in the town of Traben-Trarbach, on the banks of the Mosel river in southwestern Germany, police said in a statement Friday.
The 5,000 square meter premises, even housed the owner of the darknet hub, a 59-year-old Dutchman, residing there arguably since 2013, when he first set up the shadowy structure. The bunker was also discovered to be the home to 200 servers along with documents, cell phones and loads of cash. Having cracked the security codes to access the servers, the police discovered countless websites facilitating the sales of drugs, counterfeit documents, weapons, and even child pornography.
Among the most notorious market places hosted by the bunker's servers was the Wall Street Market, formerly the second-largest illicit drugs trading space in the world, before being shut down by authorities earlier this year.
The raid that aimed to uncover the so-dubbed "bulletproof" hosting- service-provider believed to shield online criminal groups from state prosecution and government monitoring became the first successful operation of its kind, according to German media.
Police officers not only seized the building with iron doors extending five floors deep underground, surveillance cameras scattered all around the property and surrounding areas; but also managed to crack the digital protections of the data centre – a real challenge throughout the operation, regional police chief Johannes Kunz commented.
A total of 13 people were arrested between the ages of 20 and 59, over alleged ties to the operations of the data centre. Seven are currently in custody including the ringleader, who is believed to have links to organised crime in his home country, the Netherlands, despite his official residence being listed as Singapore.

Prince Andrew in Spotlight Again Amid Reports of 'Regular' Visits to Epstein’s Paris Apartment

https://sputniknews.com/world/20190...f-regular-visits-to-epsteins-paris-apartment/
Queen Elizabeth’s son Prince Andrew came under increased scrutiny last month following the death of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, being accused of underage sex by one of financier’s victims, Virginia Giuffre. The British royal has repeatedly denied all the claims.

A whistleblower, who has been a caretaker at Jeffrey Epstein’s Avenue Foch apartment in Paris since the convicted sex offender bought it in the 2000s, has revealed to French police that Britain's Prince Andrew was seen at the apartment on multiple occasions, The Sun reported on Sunday.
The caretaker, who remained unnamed in the press due to legal reasons, told the media that “Prince Andrew stayed at the address a number of times including when Epstein was not there”.
The French officers who raided Epstein’s £7million Paris property last Monday found a custom-made massage parlour and are now probing the allegation that Prince Andrew was a regular visitor to the apartment, with reports in France suggesting that the Duke of York will be avoiding travelling to country while the investigation is ongoing.
In the meantime, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation plans to question approximately 100 alleged victims over the next two months as part of the probe into Epstein’s sex trafficking case.
“The US investigation is focusing on several potential victims in the hope that they can provide more details about Prince Andrew and his connection to the Epstein case”, sources with the US Department of Justice reportedly told The Sunday Times. “They are not going to dismiss it [claims relating to Andrew] because he is a royal”.
Detectives at Scotland Yard are said to be assisting the investigation, with the former head of Royal Protection Dai Davies quoted as saying that a full investigation would be in Prince Andrew's “interests”.
In 2008, US financier Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to procuring an underage girl for prostitution, subsequently spending only 13 months in jail. He was arrested again in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking, after which he allegedly hanged himself in his camera cell on 10 August 2019.
Prince Andrew, who is Queen Elizabeth II's second son and the Duke of York, reportedly met Epstein in 1999. One of Epstein’s most prominent exposers and victims, Virginia Roberts, now Giuffre, has accused the Duke of York of having sex with her several times when she was 17 years old at Epstein's ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell's London home.
The British royal has repeatedly denied the accusations brought against him, arguing that they were “categorically untrue”, with Giuffre insisting that Prince Andrew “knows the truth and I know the truth”.

ICE blasts New York and New Jersey for ignoring detainer requests, allowing multiple accused child rapists to go free

http://www.madnesshub.com/2019/09/ice-blasts-new-york-and-new-jersey-for.html
ICE officials issued a harsh statement at a press conference Thursday, criticizing authorities in New York and New Jersey for refusing to honor detainer requests and allowing multiple accused child rapists to go free.

According to WLNY-TV, the first suspect in question was named Luciano Trejo-Dominguez, a Mexican national, who was arrested on Aug. 12th in New Jersey on charges related to an alleged sexual assault of a child younger than 16. The charges included sexual assault, sexual assault of a victim 13 to 15 years old, criminal restraint, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, according to WPIX-TV.
According to the statement from ICE, their office in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, filed detainers with the Cumberland County Jail, where Trejo-Dominguez was being held. However, the jail did not honor the request, and Trejo-Dominguez was released from custody on Aug. 23rd, and is currently at large.
When asked for comment, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal stated that the Immigrant Trust Directive, which was issued last November as part of Democratic Governor Phil Murphy's sanctuary state policies, did not permit county authorities to comply with ICE detainers.
Some New Jersey counties have filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of this directive in court. The litigation remains pending at the time of publication of this article.
ICE also highlighted the case of Joaquin Rodriguez Quiroz, a Mexican national who was arrested on Sept. 6th in Westchester County, New York, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old. ICE acting director Matthew Albence said that ICE lodged a detainer request with Westchester County Jail on Sept. 7th, but in spite of this detainer, Quiroz was released after posting bond, and also remains at large.
Pro-immigration groups consider Westchester County to be a "sanctuary" jurisdiction. County officials did not comment on the reasons that Quiroz's detainer was refused.
At the Thursday press conference, Albence said, "To the public, who want to live and raise your families in safe neighborhoods, we ask you to hold your lawmakers accountable before you, or someone you love, is unnecessarily victimized by a criminal ICE could have removed from the country."
