Sadly-posties have it backwards-with a few still contributing and many drawing out-with posties desperately hoping they can persuade LIE-berals to honour the many IOU`s they have issued over the years. And good luck with that-teachers and Hydro workers are far more numerous than posties and LIE-berals have made their choices of who can stay and who can be dumped-there is simply NOT enough gravy for all and some Hogs MUST be disappointed!.
And now the smelly stuff has hit the fan. The postie union is in parlous state and LIE-beral promises cannot make up the shortfall-not to posties and NOT to the other unions either! LIE-berals have issued so many promises offering payment in the future for civil service union support now that we simply cannot pay! Federal LIE-berals owe something over THREE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS in deferred pension promises to the 19 separate federal unions. Its money that they simply cannot provide as we don’t have the money to give them!
The posties are a test case. If they are defeated and don’t get their gravy as promised by LIE-berals then a precedent will have been set and the other unions will be in serious trouble-if one Hog group can be short changed then so can the others. Govt and unions are being VERY COY about just how much gravy is REALLY being demanded. Its been about 10 years since federal govt admitted their unions wanted that 300 billion in LIE-beral promises honoured.
The province of Ontari-owe-which also must deal with 19 unions has been utterly silent about how much gravy is owed. What we do know is that OSSTF-the Ontari-owe high school teachers will be demanding total pension payments of about FIFTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS by about 2018-this information is courtesy of the outgoing chairman of the OSSTF pension management committee.
And we know that OSSTF is simply the largest Ontari-owe pension-the other 18 unions are also clamouring for hundreds of billions in promised pension top ups.
Even worse, there are 19 unions operating at the municipal level and we don’t know what they are demanding behind closed doors-as if it was none of our business what OUR govt does with OUR money! If the Hogs don’t get what they want then the days of LIE-beral govt may be numbered! And then there is that fourth level of govt that everybody forgets-the crown corporations-those allegedly independent `arms length`-separate from govt- political creations that are just as deep in our pockets as the other Hogs. The crown corps are a special class of Hogs such as ORNGE, E-Health, OPG, the hospitals and universities. They also hold many LIE-beral IOU`s which can never be paid. And we owe Kevin O`Leary a debt for reminding us of the outrageous payments made for the aborted Ontari-owe LIE-beral pension plan!
The final kick came courtesy of former Ontari-owe premier Dalton McGinty who assured Cdn auto workers that if GM or Chrysler went bankrupt, then WE would make up the difference in their pension pay outs as well! As it stands now, GM certainly seems to be abandoning Canada-the GM heart of Oshawa is no longer beating-Oshawa no longer `motor-vates` the country.
And now that LIE-berals have driven Ontari-owe into bankruptcy and seriously wounded the national economy with that mad thirty billion dollar deficit, LIE-berals are now looking for `dead wood`. Yes- looking for liabilities they can dump for cost savings-and posties are the first candidates for disposal! They will NOT be the last!

TORONTO — “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is getting a chilly response from Canadian radio stations.
CBC Radio says it will join at least two other broadcasters in the country, Rogers Media and Bell Media, who have pulled the controversial Christmas favourite out of their rotations this year.
That comes as the duet, written back in 1944, faces renewed scrutiny over what some say are inappropriate lyrics which have been amplified in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
CBC spokeswoman Nicola Makoway says the broadcaster plans to remove the song at midnight on Tuesday with “no plans to play it going forward.”
Earlier this week, Cleveland radio station WDOK-FM announced it was no longer playing the song in response to listener feedback. Some took issue over lyrics where one singer is trying to persuade the other to stay inside, with exchanges that include, “What’s in this drink?” and “Baby, don’t hold out.”
Bell Media spokesman Scott Henderson says the company, which runs two 24-hour Christmas stations in Vancouver and Ottawa, chose not to include the Christmas tune on its playlists this year.
“The song wasn’t scheduled for airplay on any Bell Media Radio stations and there are no plans to play it in the future,” he wrote in an emailed statement.
Rogers Media also runs a number of all-Christmas music stations, including 98.1 CHFI-FM in Toronto and 98.5 CIOC-FM in Victoria. Spokeswoman Caitlin Decarie says the broadcaster also removed the song this year, but declined to outline how it reached the decision.
“There are so many wonderful songs that celebrate the holiday season,” she said.

The disgraced CEO’s latest woes come courtesy of Bobbie Phillips — who had small roles on Showgirls and Married With Children — and she told The New York Times about her alleged encounter with the TV titan.
Moonves has denied previous allegations.

A report by CBS lawyers outlines more allegations of sexual misconduct by longtime chief Les Moonves, The New York Times reported.
The report alleges that Moonves destroyed evidence and misled investigators as he attempted to protect his reputation and severance payments. It says investigators had received “multiple reports” about a network employee who was “on call” to perform oral sex on Moonves.
“A number of employees were aware of this and believed that the woman was protected from discipline or termination as a result of it,” it cited the report as saying. “Moonves admitted to receiving oral sex from the woman, his subordinate, in his office, but described it as consensual.”
It said, the woman did not respond to the investigators’ requests for an interview.

Dear Amy: I like to think that I am a caring and sensitive man — one who respects women and appreciates the spirit of the #MeToo movement.
Therefore, a recent experience has me disturbed. I am looking for some objective feedback.
One recent evening, I was with a woman that I know well. We had drinks before, during and after dinner.
It became apparent to me that she was quite intoxicated and probably should head to bed to sleep it off. I helped her up the stairs to the bathroom. After a few minutes, when I heard the bathroom door open, I came back upstairs to check on her. This is when things got “tricky.”
She was naked, and she made strong sexual advances toward me.
I knew that the “right” thing to do was to help her get dressed and into bed for sleep, and then go on about my own business. But I was weak, partly due to my strong attraction to her. We engaged in sexual activity, and during the acts I believed there was a possibility that the next day she would not remember (or at least she might not remember how things got started). Yet I continued, and for this I am feeling remorseful.
Have I committed “date rape”? Am I a “predator”?
If the situation came to a courtroom, or if I were a public figure, would people judge me to be a “bad” man?

Dear Amy: I like to think that I am a caring and sensitive man — one who respects women and appreciates the spirit of the #MeToo movement.
Therefore, a recent experience has me disturbed. I am looking for some objective feedback.
One recent evening, I was with a woman that I know well. We had drinks before, during and after dinner.
It became apparent to me that she was quite intoxicated and probably should head to bed to sleep it off. I helped her up the stairs to the bathroom. After a few minutes, when I heard the bathroom door open, I came back upstairs to check on her. This is when things got “tricky.”
She was naked, and she made strong sexual advances toward me.
I knew that the “right” thing to do was to help her get dressed and into bed for sleep, and then go on about my own business. But I was weak, partly due to my strong attraction to her. We engaged in sexual activity, and during the acts I believed there was a possibility that the next day she would not remember (or at least she might not remember how things got started). Yet I continued, and for this I am feeling remorseful.
Have I committed “date rape”? Am I a “predator”?
If the situation came to a courtroom, or if I were a public figure, would people judge me to be a “bad” man?
And finally, Amy, does it matter that this woman is my wife of 25 years?

Apparently the video no longer works as I tried both of the above links and while I can download the print portion, nothing happens with the video so they must be receiving negative feedback otherwise it would work wouldn't it? If one watches woman "wing lady" vids on youtube ( Yes, I do always want to learn new stuff) about what women really want, it is not what is in this add that's for sure. It is the EXACT OPPOSITE.

NEW YORK — A Gillette ad for men invoking the #MeToo movement is sparking intense online backlash, with accusations that it talks down to men and groups calling for a boycott. But Gillette says it doesn’t mind sparking a discussion. Since it debuted Monday, the Internet-only ad has garnered nearly 19 million views on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter — a level of buzz that any brand would covet.
The two-minute ad from Procter & Gamble’s razor brand shows men and boys engaging in bullying and sexual harassment and encourages men to “say the right thing” and “act the right way.” Taking on bullying, sexual harassment and toxic masculinity is a big task for a razor brand. Many critics took to social media saying it was insulting to men and laden with stereotypes.
The uproar comes as Gillette battles upstarts like Harrys Razors, Dollar Shave Club, and others for millennial dollars. Gillette controlled about 70 per cent of the U.S. market a decade ago. Last year, its market share dropped to below 50 per cent, according to Euromonitor
Allen Adamson, co-founder of branding firm Metaforce, called the ad a “hail Mary” pass from the 117-year-old company. But he added that online buzz, whether positive or negative, rarely makes a long-term difference for a marketer since memory fades quickly.
“Getting noticed and getting buzz is no easy task, and they’ve managed to break through,” Adamson said. “Most advertisers advertise, and no one notices because there is so much noise in the marketplace, so just getting noticed Is a big win, especially for low-interest category like a razor.”
On the flip side, it probably won’t sell many razors either, he said.
Gillette’s ad echoes other attempts by major advertisers to take on social issues. Pepsi pulled an ad in 2017 showing Kendall Jenner giving a cop a Pepsi during a protest and apologized after an outcry that it trivialized “Black Lives Matter” and other protest movements. Nike polarized the nation with an ad featuring ex-NFL player Colin Kaepernick who started a wave of protests among NFL players of police brutality, racial inequality and other social issues.
Sales weren’t affected in either of those cases. When controversy does affect sales, it is usually over something more substantive than an ad. Lululemon saw sales tumble in 2013 after a string of PR disasters including manufacturing problems that caused their pricey yoga pants to become see through and fat-shaming comments from their founder. But even that was short lived.
Ronn Torossian, CEO of 5WPR, said that much like Nike’s Kaepernick ad, Gillette likely knew the ad would garner online debate.
“Nike knew what they were getting themselves into,” Torossian said. The ad with Kapernick was “making a lot of noise, and it can’t be a surprise to (Gillette) that this is making a lot of noise.”
P&G, one of the world’s largest advertisers, is known for its anthemic spots that appeal to emotions during the Olympics and other events, often aimed at women, such as the tear-jerking “Thank You Mom” Olympics branding campaign and Always “Like a Girl” 2014 Super Bowl ad.
Pankaj Bhalla, North America brand director on Gillette says the controversy was not the intended goal of the ad, which is part of a larger campaign that takes a look at redefining Gillette’s longtime tagline “The Best a Man Can Get,” in different ways. Another online ad features one-handed NFL rookie Shaquem Griffin.
While he doesn’t want to lose sales or a boycott over the ad, “we would not discourage conversation or discussion because of that,” he said.
“Our ultimate aim is to groom the next generation of men, and if any of this helps even in a little way we’ll consider that a success,” he said.
Larry Chiagouris, marketing professor at Pace University, is skeptical.
“Treating people with respect, who can argue with that, but they’re kind of late to the party here, that’s the biggest problem,” he said. “It’s gratuitous and self-serving.”

Well, now that I've seen the ad, I don't really have a problem with it. For me, it basically says, if a man sees another man acting like an ass, tell him or do something about it. I can live with that.
Unfortunately, most of the messaging that seems to be toted about is that "ALL" men are A/H's, something which I totally disagree with. MOST men are good; it's the ones that aren't and whose actions are despicable that need to be addressed.
But you see when it comes to the "left" generalizations are acceptable. If you are right of center, then generalizations are NOT acceptable. Again, it's the hypocrisy of the "left" that is so annoying because they simply cannot see it for what it is.
With one or two exceptions, the men in my life have always treated me with respect. So out of the 100's of men I came into contact with (boyfriends when I was younger & co-workers), 2 were A/H's. So does that make "most" men A/H's because 2 of them were? Not by any stretch of my imagination. To me that's what is so wrong about this whole "masculinity" thing. Let "boys be boys" but also teach them that they need to respect EVERYONE, no matter who they are. Boys ARE different from girls and to "shame" them because they're boys and to state that being "male" or "masculine" as a "mental disorder" is disgusting.
