The world has barely 10 years to get climate change under control, U.N. scientists say

��There is no documented historic precedent�� for the sweeping changes required to hold the planet��s warming to just 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit), the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change wrote Sunday in a report requested as part of the 2015 Paris climate agreement.

Dramatic cuts in carbon emissions would be needed in the next decade of more than 1 billion tons per year, a figure that is larger than the annual emissions of nearly every country on the planet.

Hmmm let's see. The UN claims we need to cut emissions by more than 1 billion tons per year. But humans allegedly put out only 30 million metric tonnes per year. In other words, if every country on the planet eliminated carbon emissions today, we'd still be f*cked. Or to put it another way, iff every country on the planet completely eliminated all carbon emissions today, that would still leave us about 970 million tons short of the UN's annual goal.

It's bullshit numbers like the one quoted from the article that make people NOT take the UN reports seriously.

Hmm. A lot of climate change deniers.......

Seems that INFORMATION is not enough to make people at least consider the possibility...........so little wonder the newest info is presented more emphatically.

Not that it will make a difference.......to the "my mind is made up......don't confuse me with facts"..group.
Scientific evidence is there........ and the increasingly aggressive weather patters are a symptom of it

so.......perhaps the deniers could provide SCIENTIFIC DATA that climate change is not happening. IE present evidence that opposes the evidence that validates climate change. The humanoid has a certain propensity to play Russian roulette with their own lives. (eg: all the hurricane warnings in the world don't convince folks t o leave............(evacuate).......so they gamble with their lives and their pets and kids. ) But that is their choice.......Leaving others .... professionals to try and locate them when disaster strikes.

1) How does buying Carbon credits from 3rd world countries change climate?
2) How does a revenue neutral Carbon tax change the climate?
3) Why do Climate change expert Millionaires buy waterfront properties?
4) Why am I paying a tax for warm weather and getting all this snow in the fall?
