It's rewriting historry to make it look merely a global, human, achievement rather than an American achievement.
I saw Ogopogo on Wednesday and the Sasquatch last weekend . Did you see the global warming Edmonton is getting ?
Except anyone with even a quarter brain cell knows it was more a US achievement.
The film, I think, doesn't need to focus on that because everyone knows it. Rather they're looking at the human story.
And WTF is wrong with that? It's not rewriting history, it's deepening it (depending on how much truth there is in it, tbh).
It does show the U.S. flag. Repeatedly. It just doesn't show the flag raising.
That's what Blackshirt's upset about, that the flag of another country is given slightly less respect than he thinks it deserves.
Because Blackshirt loves and reveres the U.S. flag. It's the flag of a country that has half-decent relations with his, and he knows for a damn fact that if a Brit ever lands on the moon, it'll be after we set up a regular tourist service.
It is also a historical fact that it was German technology which sent America to the Moon.
