When did we start bombing Haiti, Nigeria, Mexico, Central America, etc.? Isn't these the target countries of the illegal/irregular immigrants?

James Collura wasn’t fulfilled in his job, so he quit and joined Ontario’s basic income pilot program.
Using his economics degree to get a job at a bank just wasn’t what Collura wanted so he quit once he signed up for the former Liberal government program we were told was supposed to be about reducing poverty.
(One wonders if he has student loans- or any plan to pay us back for what he borrowed- because WE tax payers are who he borrowed OSAP money from!)
“I knew basic income would be psychologically and physically freeing,” Collura told the Lindsay Advocate a few months ago.
Freed from having to hold down a job, Collura has found a new purpose. He says he has joined a co-working space and is using his skills in a way that makes him happy.
Though often he isn’t charging for them.
“I work in a building full of entrepreneurs, and have been using my skills to help with event planning, posters, marketing, and social media,” Collura said.
“I’ve even painted the logos of three different businesses (soon to be four) on the walls in their office spaces. I’ve done all of it for free. Zero dollars.”
Zero dollars?
So he is giving away his services for free while living off the basic income after quitting a paying job at a major bank.
Of course, Collura thinks this is all great because he is getting yoga!
(Well its nice for him- but one has to ask just how he is paying the bills since welfare is not generous with cash? Is he living in affordable housing and getting a break on rent that way- at OUR expense? Should we ask if he is selling things like Marijuana under the table? Or maybe he is selling refinished furniture or other items for cash at the local flea and antique market? Or maybe he is like the Whitby woman who was renting a Pickering airport lands farmhouse that LIE-berals did not know what to do with- it’s a great deal if you can get it- the rent for the shabby and un-maintained place was about $200.00 per month and she could cut firewood in the local woodlot to save on heat and could and did keep chickens and ducks and sell eggs and meat- and worked part time as a cleaning lady under the table as well and it was the cleaning lady gig that got her exposed as a welfare fraud! Or maybe Collura is like the guys I knew at a furniture store with one guy always having money in pocket thanks to living in a non profit housing coop- meaning NO MORTGAGE INTEREST to pay ever- and set up at our expense while the other guy- not nicely connected- was paying market rent and was always near broke!)
“In exchange, I’ve been getting the services in the building – yoga, float-therapy, psychotherapy sessions, voice-acting lessons, breath-work classes,” Collura said.
(Yeah the barter society is a great way to get around the pesky tax man- but is supplying welfare to guys like this with no questions asked FAIR to the rest of us? And do we really want to EXPAND this free ride? What would be the cost to Canada to offer this deal to 100,000 illegals who don’t usually have any job skills anyway and will need govt aid for decades?)
Strangely, this is the man the NDP and poverty activists brought to Queen’s Park Wednesday to defend the former Liberal government’s guaranteed income plan.
(So much for the LIE-beral understanding of things like the Work Ethic!)
Critics of the concept, like me, have long said offering people free money will lead to some taking advantage of the situation and just not working.
Collura sure seems to be that guy!
(Sadly- human nature is of such sort that MOST people would stop working if offered free money- especially if their standard of living did not drop much in the process- meaning that those who have found ways to cheat the tax man will be most excited about a guaranteed income!)
But another recipient the NDP trotted out also fit that mould.
Jessie Golem appeared at the news conference. She denounced the PC government’s plan to scrap the basic income pilot.
Golem is a photographer who sells her services for portraits and weddings. She was also on the guaranteed income despite having a highly employable skill set.
(Sadly our falling standard of living, generally increased stinginess, our rising avoidance of marriage with resulting lack of need for formal photos of the big day, our falling birth rate and reduced interest in quaint baby portraits, plus the rise of photo editing software makes being a photographer a rather low paid job!)
Yet Golem says she and others like her need this program and she wants the government to keep pushing it.
(Yeah- I do bet she needs the guaranteed income program! Free govt money is the best money! LIE-berals are fond of offering up grants to any business involving a camera- look at all the money the offer up to “Hollywood North” so Toronto film biz will thrive! There is a moral in this but LIE-berals will NOT discuss it!))
Maybe she wants to go see Elton John again.
Earlier this year Golem posted a photo of her score for Elton John tickets. The piano man plays Scotiabank Arena in Toronto next month and Golem will be there. She bragged on Instagram, “…by some MIRACLE, I got four tickets for $286 each.”
She also posted that next week she is going to the ELO concert. Tickets there range from $79 to $566 each.
Is this what the basic income was meant for?
Allowing people to quit their jobs and work for free? To let otherwise employable people not work but still buy expensive concert tickets?
(And that free govt money means people can move about and play without having that pesky job schedule looming over them! Work when you want and grab govt gravy when you need it!)
Collura and Golem are fully employable. How did they even qualify for the former government’s guaranteed income program? And why would the NDP want taxpayers to continue supporting them?
Ontarians are caring and compassionate people, we would support increased funding for those that cannot work. But subsidizing people who we think don’t want to work?
That’s not on.
(This is the heart of the Cdn hostility to the swarms of illegals Our idiot Boy invited to Canada! We hear about babies dying outside New Brunswick hospitals because health care is rationed; we hear about old folks being beaten- sometimes to death in old folks homes either by other patients or by angry and over loaded staff; and we watch on tv as panic stricken people explain their terror over the cost of their electric bills and we see LIE-berals paying out gobs of gravy to their friends in amounts they could NEVER EARN in private sector! Why we ask do LIE-berals so often seem to seek out the least savoury citizens among us for the biggest rewards?)
The plan Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals brought to Ontario was one that would offer a guaranteed income to everyone, regardless of “work status” as the activists say. It was being tested in Hamilton, Thunder Bay and a few other communities.
Compare that to Quebec where the Liberal government there recently announced that there will be a guaranteed annual income of $18,029 by 2023 for those unable to work.
(And many Cdns ask why should we label a drug addict as a charity case? Certainly we need to do something with them but coddling them is NOT what most Cdns had in mind- so why are LIE-berals seriously discussing making drugs like Heroin LEGAL? And redefining addicts as simply disabled instead of criminal and disabled?)
As for those without a disability but on welfare things are changing too.
In Quebec, you will need to attend training within the first three months of being on welfare. That training will cover job skills and more.
If you skip the training or if you aren’t looking for work then your welfare payment will be cut.
That is the type of reform most Ontarians could get behind.
(I agree- why should a 16 year old amphetamine junkie spend his mornings sleeping, his afternoons dealing for extra cash and his evenings partying- while on welfare- with school as an optional and un-needed extra? And the kid did not like walking home in cold and rain after parties and was out on bail after being caught 16 times behind the wheel of stolen vehicles! But that was 1980 and he is now a career thief and drug addict and a general waste of skin! Surely the clown is owed some punishment for being a pain in the ass so often?)
Paying people to quit their jobs and paint logos for free is not what most Ontarians support.
(Economists suggest that if the LIE-beral guaranteed Income project was implemented fully across the entire country it would add another $76 billion dollars to our tax bills! It is the Grandest of all LIE-beral seats on the govt gravy train and one has to wonder if LIE-berals want to put those swarms of illegals onto the gravy train in exchange for their votes?)
