There have been many problems in the past as there will be many problems in the future.
Apparently there is no definitive research into the nature of bitumen spills. It seems prudent to limit this now, with an eye on eliminating it completely in the future if we discover the problem to be too dangerous

Trudeau is going to run roughshod over BC's "social licence" to supply oil to a "basic dictatorship" while not running roughshod on Quebec and Montreal in order to keep importing oil from a theocratic, fascist state that is also the largest exporter and supporter of Islamic terrorism on the planet.

Plans were made to drill 40 new wells in the past year. On Trans Mountain 1? Did you know they rail it to the B.C. terminal as well? which is better in your mind?
They have all kinds of spill studies on raw and diluted heavy bitumen oil, pipeline and oil companies have to have an ERP and cleanup protocol in place before any of it can be transported, same as refined product.
Mother nature played a cruel joke on tree huggers when she spilled this heavy oil all over Ft Mac. and hid it under a bunch of vegetation before wildcatters followed up on native stories of oil laying on top of the ground.
