Great tits cope well with warming

At least one of Britain's birds appears to be coping well as climate change alters the availability of a key food.
Researchers found that great tits are laying eggs earlier in the spring than they used to, keeping step with the earlier emergence of caterpillars.
Writing in the journal Science, they point out that the same birds in Holland have not managed to adjust.
Understanding why some species in some places are affected more than others by climatic shifts is vital, they say.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) commented that other species are likely to fare much worse than great tits as temperatures rise.
Perfect timing
The research uses a long record of great tits in a breeding site at Wytham Woods near Oxford, where observations began in 1947.
The finding is surprising in that the birds are using the same old rules, but the rules still work

I was thinking Global Warming was reponsible for woman having great breasts, but then I realized that woman suddenly getting great breasts would actually connect perfectly to Global Warming, since most women who just get great breasts all of a sudden and global warming itself would both be fake.

Didn't fool me for a second, because I have several English relatives and I happened to know that tit is the common word for what we call sparrows around here. One of my brothers-in-law, shortly after he arrived in Canada, went into a stationery store looking for rubbers. They sent him to the drugstore a little farther along the mall, which confused him mightily, until someone a little better informed recognized his accent and explained what was going on. What he really wanted, of course, was erasers.

Yeah, great floaters maybe, but that (or those) is just not attractive to me. Imagine carrying on with that woman, she makes a sudden movement, you get whacked upside the head with a giant hooter, and you're out cold for 20 minutes.... no thanks.
