Okay.... Tape, ring or hook varieties I can understand worry. A critter that aerates and fertilizes as it goes? Where are the pickets? the tree-huggers? the Greenpeacers?

!Contrary Opinion Alert

Most species of earthworms are not native to North America. And, the glaciers scraped those which were in the topsoil to worm heaven. And so, the little buggars which turn leaf litter into soil were absent in our boreal forests allowing native plants and animals which depend on leaf litter to thrive. Well, earthworms are threatening the very survival of those species. We humans will survive, but in another scenario, if we didn't I am sure some bug somewhere will say, "Humans gone? Who gives a fu..!"

Microorganisms rule the planet but that doesn't mean you don't have to worry about the macroorganisms.

Sorry, Petros, I just can't agree with Locutus on this one. Or any other one so far. However, I am certain agreement will come someday, given infinite time and an infinite number of posts.
