From what I've seen in cases of emancipation in Alberta, to perform it legally social services must be involved, to declare your parents unfit or unable. Call your local social services office, and explain your situation. They will be able to tell you what your situation warrants better than strangers on the internet.

Call me a cynic but most of these kind of threads result in finding an amazing website that has all of the information (in other words spam).

Eh? Why?

Been reading about Spam. Quite a number of brands.

Then there's popcorn.

Maybe it's not spam, or spork, or corned beef. Maybe it's sincere request for help. A scream in the dark.

HAVE WE STOPPED CARING????????????????/

yup

What Karrie said. Do that, ok?
