REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -- Police in the Delaware resort of Rehoboth Beach say a Canadian man has been charged for allowing his daughter to lure a seagull to a hole in the sand, where she killed it with a plastic shovel.
A police statement says officers were called to the beach Wednesday about complaints that a girl was trying to hit seagulls with a shovel. A police statement says the 13-year-old put food in a hole in the sand and killed one seagull, which was later found in a trash can.
Authorities say officers found the girl's father, 48-year-old Christian Lesieur of Quebec, drinking alcohol on the beach.
Police say Lesieur was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanour. It's not known if he has a lawyer.

Running over a chicken used to be really expensive if you were from the US or Canada as it suddenly became a favorite family pet worth just what you happened to be carrying.

I knew an electrician in the Navy who used to feed Drano sandwiches to the seagulls that were following the ship. He'd get stale bread from the Mess, fill them up with Drano, wrap the bundles tight with sailmaker (string) and throw them over the stern. A gull would pick it up, fly up-up-up and then suddenly crash straight down.

Yes Virginia. There is real criminal crue!ty, even for the lowly Sh1thawk.

Spray the bread with 'starting fluid' and they fly funny for a few minutes and then everything was back to normal. I swear some became regular visitors at every coffee and lunch break. On a highway paving crew we were hounded by them and one day that was really hot all the lunches were fed to the birds, 100's of them in that feeding frenzy and the rest of the time there not one bird showed up. No idea if it was the lunch or the hot asphalt burned their feet that they couldn't walk, strange it was though.

You must of eaten a few of those sandwiches yourself. From the looks of things.
