Que. man charged after 12-year-old girl gave birth

Additional charges are expected against a Quebec man accused of impregnating an 11-year-old girl.
Police say Mathieu Roy sexually assaulted another minor, TVA Nouvelles reports.
Roy, 32, of Trois-Rivieres, was arrested last week.
The now-12-year-old girl gave birth in May.
The preteen's mother took her to hospital when she complained of stomach problems. Doctors discovered she was 36 weeks pregnant - too far along to consider abortion. Mother and baby are said to be doing well.
Roy was held in custody over the weekend pending a court appearance Monday to face charges of sexual assault and sexual touching. The hearing was reportedly postponed to give prosecutors a chance to lay further charges.
Police say there is a second victim - a girl who is now 16.
