We have this absurd notion in our 'democratic' society that the majority of the people are always right. Everything in society is ultimately judged by how many people adhere to, support, or belong to a particular idea or movement. Hence the talks are adjudged a 'failure' (as well as the man who delivered them) because of the small number who have taken them up.
The reverse is actually true. It is the minority that has always been shown to be right - history has demonstrated it, time and time again. All change has always started with one person. The majority is, in fact, always wrong.

Don't know who has written this ,but how true it is .

The majority of people are sheep because they do not want to think for themselves. that is why we have religion and politics and why they say you should never discuss them in polite company.

The view of democracy isn't that the majority is right,

Its that right or wrong, people should be able to self govern and make their own mistake, not exist in a lifetime of perpetual childhood.

That's the theory. Seldom the practice. Think Canada. Think foreign policy.

Whether the majority is always right or wrong is unimportant. What is important is the question of whether or not the majority has the right to dictate to everyone. As I see it they do only in regard to what is owned in common. Otherwise. the rights of the individual trump the will of the majority.

Wrong – Massive error – The rights of the state can be paramount over the rights on individuals -
