Count how many times the word "democracy" appears in the US Constitution or Bill of Rights. The founding fathers knew the failings of democracy, it is mob rule. Ah, but they, and we have representative democracy, or representative mob rule. In effect all the ruling elite need to do is get enough folks to agree with them and it gives them all the legal rights to enact and enforce any arcane or tyrannical laws or rules on the rest of us. I've said before it does not take a majority of people, just a majority of people who don't give a rat's a$$. Democracies are easily corruptible.


As long as we have a democracy we will have ruling elites, (the US was supposed to be a republic but that ship sailed a long time ago).
