How did Einstein arrive at Time in SRT ?
=.
Thinking about why photon has constant speed Einstein
decided that something must be happened with the space and time.
And then (to have time) he took distance ( d=vt ) and divided on
constant speed of quantum of light (c) and had negative time
(t =d/c=1/ 3 X 10^8 meters/second) . Later Minkowski (trying to understand
SRT ) took this negative time as a positive (! ) geometrical 4D- dimension (!)
and gave his math-geometrical interpretation.
In the beginning many physicists said that it is impossible to 1 second
be equal to 1 centimeter or 1 meter, or as someone wrote:
1 second = 1 second to you whether you are travelling at 40mph,
or 400,000,000mph. But this abstraction somehow was adopted.
Why this idea was adopted? Maybe because of its beauty.
One physicist said me : it is impossible to be physicist
if you don’t understand the beauty of Minkowski SRT explanation .
Maybe, he is correct on 100% , but there is a very small problem:
nobody knows what Minkowski space is.
About 2500 years ago Plato wrote:

and by smallness that smaller things ate smaller . . . .
. . . by tallness one man is taller than another . . .
. . . . and the shorter is shorter by the same ; . . . . .

Every math beauty must have its own concrete physical and geometrical
parameters. Without these precise physical details we have a pure
mathematical game and many paradoxes in physics.
Therefore more than 100 years the debates around SRT have no end.

Einstein did not decide that something must be happening with space and time, he worked it out as the logical consequences of postulating that all inertial reference frames are equivalent and the speed of light is the same for all observers.

Well maybe *you* don't, but lots of people do, you're making it way more complicated and mysterious than it needs to be. Any decent textbook on the subject should make it clear, you just need to understand some algebra and Euclidean geometry. Spacetime in SRT is Euclidean.

How come time gets bent all out of shape under the influence of psychedelic drugs? How come a minute feels like an hour on LSD?

I'm kinda wondering what soc is on sometimes.

You use initials in the title, I read the first couple of sentences, still no clue as to what S.R.T. means so I've just written it off as a bunch of illegible mumbledy jumbledy.

Maybe what he should be on is a course in how to write legible English! -:)

He says he is in Israel and obviously, English is no his native language. His English is still comprehensible even if his thought processes are not always so.

Spacetime in SRT is Euclidean.

Spacetime in SRT is Pseudo Euclidean or Minkowski.
You can see it model.

Well Einstein used the following

But first he used this.

1
The information about Einstein’s negative time I took from a book.
( this book was written in 1923 by Russian physicist Khvolsky (?)
I have it copy in my house but now I am far away )
Does somebody have other information about how negative time
in physics was arrived?
3
In SRT we have two (2) different reference frames:
One is space and time : “all inertial reference frames are equivalent"
Another is spacetime: the negative absolute 4D continuum. / Planck/
And in 1908 Herman Minkowski said:
‘ Henceforth, space by itself, and time by itself,
are doomed to fade away into mere shadows,
and only a kind of union of the two will preserve
an independent reality.’
4
Maybe Dexter Sinister can explain :
way “space by itself, and time by itself,
are doomed to fade away into mere shadows,”
and way “only a kind of union of the two will preserve
an independent reality.”
and why such opinion is not mysterious.
