Ambulance dispatch in Alberta is worse since it was centralized. There have been ambulances dispatched to calls 3 hours away. In one case an ambulance was sent to attend a heart attack call 30 minutes away. There was an AED in the fire hall next door to the patient but the fire department wasn't paged
