OPP is doing a lot of the patrol work an MTO guy used to do - and calling for crews when necessary but they have policework to do. The contractor is supposed to patrol - but he's looking to make a profit for his (lowest bidder) company. The biggest problem is they're using salt and calcium chloride - neither of which is effective below -15 and chloride is worse than ice when it freezes due to lack of sunshine or traffic
