The hell you shouldn't let it discourage you. The CDC announced just the other day that people should avoid this year's flu shot like the plague. They said it will not provide protection from the flu this year and that for some people it could be fatal if they come into contact with the flu virus while their immune system is weakened by the vaccine.

I had a close relative also get the flu shot a few years ago, and was paralyzed. Yeahno, not getting the damned thing what so ever.
