GANANOQUE, Ont. — A massive barn fire that killed 35 head of dairy cattle and caused more than $2 million damage Sunday night was deliberately set, provincial police say.
Police charged John Smid, 18, with arson for the fire north of this eastern Ontario city.
“We weren’t able to save anything with the barn, with the cattle inside,” fire Chief Gerry Bennett.
It took firefighters between six and seven hours to get the blaze under control, but they managed to protect three silos adjacent to the barn and other buildings, he said.
The chief expressed gratitude to neighbours who rushed to help with the effort.

they should continue to worry about this guy, he has big problems inside his head.
