A Guelph, Ont., man is accused of breaking into the local public works yard, crashing several city trucks, then making a drunken escape attempt in a stolen street sweeper.
Cops responded to a report that a city vehicle had gone off the road, when they discovered the suspect in the area.
Police said he broke into the city property, smashed windows and drove several trucks into each other.
He then allegedly stole a street sweeper by "smashing through the rear overhead door" and attempted to flee the scene. But he quickly crashed into a nearby bush and ran away, police said.
Connor Marion, 18, is charged with break and enter, theft and mischief over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, impaired driving and driving over 80 mg.
He's due in court Jan. 2.
