The first album question made me think:
What was better 4 track cassettes or 8 track. Liked 8 track because your could switch songs but you couldn't with the 4 just FF. But if you dropped the 8 upside down you spent your life with and endless loop.

Err... I heard of them, I've had one in my hands at one time, but never had a machine around that would play an 8-track.... never heard anything about 4 tracks.

I don't even know the basic operational process of 8-tracks compared to compact cassettes. (Searches.... now knows)

.... well you learn something everyday.... Cassette is french for "Little Box"

but anyways, for those wanting additonal info on 8 track:

Oh God! A return to the early world of hi-fi.. Funny but my first, and still my favourite music player is my Dual turntable. I bought an eight track tape but the first ones were pretty awful. I eventually bought two cassette decks....The second one had dbx noise reduction and as far as I was concerned, it was equal to compact disc machines which at the time were just hitting the market and were still too expensive. CDs eventually took over the market

I have about three hundred LPs that I can't replace and I can't buy that music on CDs, so every so often I drag out a few LPs and enjoy the music.
