I feel your pain, Juan. We had a really long winter this year as well, and we finally are getting the spring weather that we are "supposed" to get. It is very warm and almost muggy! The flowers are started to sprout and the grass is now green instead of brown.

I really like spring, and I am hopeful that it is here to stay.

Awesome! We got snow. It quit about mid afternoon and started melting. Gave us about 10 cm. (4" for you non-metric types). Previously we had very nice weather for two weeks. My wife has a tan. Well, tanned more than a untanned half aboriginal can be. lol

Wolf, definition of climate:
Quote:
There isn't a generally accepted definition of climate. Climate is usually defined as all the states of the atmosphere seen at a place over many years. The time period is not given but it should be 'sufficiently long'. This means we can choose the time period we look at. As a result, climate doesn't have a very scientific definition.
Definition of weather:
[quote]Weather is the instantaneous state of the atmosphere, or the sequence of the states of the atmosphere as time passes. The behaviour of the atmosphere at a given place can be described by a number of different variables which characterise the physical state of the air, such as its temperature, pressure, water content, motion, etc. /[quote]

Snowed here in Courtenay for about 20 minutes this morning, nothing stayed, then mostly sunny for the day.

It snowed like crazy this morning for about five minutes then it stopped. We now have patches of blue sky showing and it is warming up. Supposed to go up to 15 on Wednesday.

I know I complained, but while we got a lot of unwanted snow, it wasn't particularly cold, and nor was there a wind blowing. All that snow we got is pretty well gone now and I never did a lick of shoveling.... I remember blizzards from Winnipeg. I once walked a block and a half to the store for some milk and I ended up with little white patches of frostbite on my nose and ears and on my wrists where my coat didn't meet my mitts. It was about minus 30 with a 30 mile an hour wind blowing. It was chilly....,.
