Police Brutality - Handled the Way It Should Be
THIS IS WHAT WE, AS A PEOPLE, NEED TO BE DOING EVERY TIME WE SEE INJUSTICES TAKING PLACE IN TODAY'S CRAZY WORLD! Typical; when its 5 on 1 the police are very brave; but when it's 500 on 5, they change their tune pretty quickly. The cowardly bastards.

Perhaps Mr.Dziekanski landed in a wrong country.

Sorry, they had it coming.

The guy was acting like an idiot, ok.... take him down, arrest him and drag him off.

But no, they had him down, out numbered and the cop still felt like he needed to hit the guy multiple times with the knight stick while he wasn't a threat..... so they got what was coming to them and a taste of their own damn medicine.

Police do not have absolute authority to treat anybody as they damn well please & use excessive force just because they're on a power trip...... jabbing the guy with a knight stick multiple times while down on the ground, out numbered and no threat to anybody is the exact same as when police taser the crap out of someone multiple times because they're giving attitude.

Police brutality..... say hellow to mob brutality.

Follow procedure and you won't have anything to worry about.

Actually, i think what the officers are doing is trying to cuff the individual...........the guy with the nightstick appears to be striking the individual in the arm muscles with the baton.....which is how you get a struggling man's hands behind his back to cuff him. Looks bad, but it is standard procedure.

Hard to see very well, but that is my guess.

and yes, I have been trained in handcuffing non-compliant people.

I love how this brotherhood in policing, though they are probably rent a cops, is so shallow they just break and run for it leaving some unconscious laying on the field. They could have just walked the guy out instead of pretending they were badass cops taking down a serial cop killer.

Too many cops are told they need to over react and take control of the situation without a lick of training on understanding a situation or people skills. Live and learn boys.

The police hold only the power given to them by the people. When society hits the point that the police are arresting children for throwing tantrums, we inevitably see the backlash. When people stand up and demand that someone not be beaten just for being a stupid fan running across a field, it shows it's already begun. The police should be worrying about truly criminal behaviour, not trying to make everyone 'behave'.

yet you think society would be better if they were the only one's with guns. :p

From a guy that has probably never been in so much as a school yard shoving match....lol

Ever try to control a full-grown man without seriously injuring him? I don't mean just hold him down, I mean move him somewhere.......because holding him down can easily kill him.

It ain't easy, it always takes more than one person, and the first essential thing you do is get the cuffs on him.

Now, I would not swear in a court of law that this guy was NOt being abused...

But my educated GUESS is that these cops were just doing their job.

Colpy, do you think part of the problem might be due to hiring practices, specifically; hiring people not strong enough for the job? Hence the need for three people to take one person down.

Again you haven't the first clue as to what I have or haven't been involved in.

Yea many times.

I've never had to handcuff anyone. Well who didn't want to be handcuffed anyway. Reason and focusing on what you want rather than forcing total submission isn't all that difficult. Usually only those intoxicated beyond reason or those with a serious mental illness that is out of control can't be easily subdued to the point of compliance.

Now, I would not swear in a court of law that this guy was NOt being abused...

If their job was to screw up big time and run away leaving members of their unit injured and alone to fend for themselves on the field, yeah I guess they were doing their job. When the bar is set that low, almost anyone can hit it.

Oh ya, mob rule, wonderful way to live.

In most civilized countries people will not put up with an abuse on their brother - even by the authority .
I can see that this sort of behavior is foreign to you .

I would have emptied my pistol into the crowd coming at me.

That's why I could never be a cop.

If anyone is gong home to dinner, it will be me.

Perhaps that's what you see.... I see him slugging him in the head area, but indeed.... it's not the best angle to view..... but the crowd coming towards them have a better view from the front of this guy.

Either way, they could have easily escorted the guy out without having to get all "Respect meh Authora'tah!" on his ass..... he was being an idiot, but not a threat to anyone to warrant the force these guys used.
