Obama took a damaged country from the Republicans and that part of history will never change. Imposable to fix 8 years of Republican carelessness in 11/2 years.
The official Republican Party line (as explained by Limbaugh shortly after the disaster) is that Obama caused the spill and wants it to spread as far as possible, wants it to do as much damage as possible, so that it will give him an excuse to ban offshore drilling.

So are you saying that the whole country beleives that Obama caused the spill and wants it to do as much damage as possible? Do you have any weblink for this assertion, besides the communique from your Central (Republican) Politburo?
And who was the silly houseboy that said the Republicans want to make Alaska look like Mordor?
That is true, but now their voices will be muted, at least for a short while, because of the disaster. Even though Republicans claim that Obama caused the disaster, American people blame BP for it, I don't know why. After all big business couldn't be guilty, could it? heaven forbid. A natural constituency of the Republican Party could not possibly be guilt,y so it is logical for Republicans to blame Obama for it, and not BP.
Nope. Obama's on the hot seat. You know it...I know it...the world knows it. Why else would he be up on stage answering to it. He's the Captain of the country's worst oil spill ever.
Quite so, that is the official Republican Party line, that Obama caused the spill and wants it to do maximum possible damage. It remains to be seen if American people swallow it.
Indeed, the finger of blame points to one source and one source only, Bush and the Republicans. They probably did not inquire as to what safeguards BP had in place, they permitted BP to cut corners, in their eyes, big business can do no wrong.
That is why they tried to block the Financial Sector reform from being passed, they were protecting the big business. And the fact that Republicans here are blaming Obama for causing the spill, and not blaming BP is part of the same pattern.
It remains to be seen if American people swallow the propaganda that Obama caused the spill, and that BP is blameless in the matter.
Anyway, it is amusing to see conservatives here blaming Obama for causing the oil spill, claiming that Obama caused the spill and thereby implying that BP is blameless in the matter.
