Topless women protesters 'surprised, upset' as men show up with cameras | News.com.au
Well geez, they didn't want men showing up with cameras, acting like it was a parade?
When you get a group of people to march down a street doing something not normally seen everyday, and it's a bunch of women marching down the street showing off their boobs..... and so much attention was brought to them doing this which was the whole point in doing this in the first place.... exactly wtf did they expect would happen?
"We should be able to walk down the street and not have this many men taking pictures of us,"
Sure fine.... do it then.... individually.... when you get a group of women together to make a spectacle over something, be that just attention to yourselves or attention to a cause, by all walking as a group topless..... you invite all sorts of attention.
And the same thing would happen if it was a bunch of guys walking down a street in a group, exposing their chests and/or other body parts..... there'd be all kinds of women there taking pictures and hoot'n & whistling like it was a Chip'n'Dale Marathon.

Well yeah.... if you have a police escort leading the way, getting everybody's attention.... it'd sure look like a parade.
And really, there's not much difference between a marching protest and a parade, except maybe one group is more angry over the other.
It's the same thing I see towards the Gay Pride Parades..... they're parades, but they're also a form of protest..... with a bit of a catch 22.
Many homosexuals want to be treated equally and not given more attention over the next person.... that they're no different.
Ok..... then why have huge parades to shove your homosexuality and being different in everybody's face? I don't shove my hetro in everybody's face or the lifestyles I chose.
Treat it normally like everything else, and everybody else might treat them normally too.
Same thing for this..... if you want to change this "double standard" towards public nudity between men and women, then go out and live your life normally doing what you believe.... shop, walk, hop on the bus topless if you want.
But getting a group of people together to all do the exact same thing, whether you call it a parade or protest, with police escort on top of that.... all you're doing is saying "HEY LOOK AT US!" ~ So don't complain when some of the looks you get are looks you don't like.
