I used to tell bible thumpers that there SIN number was the mark of the beast. Also, 20 years ago, almost all federal government phone numbers had the prefix 666. What were they thinking?

The numbers begin with your prov id - their is also a formula with the way the numbers were issued - What Prov were you in then?

I've been in BC for 37 years. I first noticed the numbers in early 80s in the Telus blue pages. I noticed that they have changed most of them since then but some remain. I thought it was most fitting at the time.

The formula could be used to denote prov and birth or something like that - Old and forgetful -
