I know nothing about the law in this area, but it seems pretty dumb, not to mention heartless, to bust up a family that way. If I lived in Halifax, I think I'd be prepared to hide her and her family in my basement for however long it takes our lunatic officialdom to come to its senses. At least, I hope I would. There *is* a place for civil disobedience.
Sounds about right to me, Dexter. Surely someone can get her underground till help arrives.
Apparently some bureau or another has their collective head up their asses, searching for daylight, and hoping the feds might step in and assist.
I read that it's only one woman, and, if her case doesn't stay in front of the media for too long, they can safely ship her off, and sluff the resultant flack. Blame someone else, the rules, the law.
No one seems to be taking up her cause. Too many causes ??
