That's true, but it's not just the republican's....have you been reading Praxius' posts?
Unfortunately, it's not just the U.S. either. I think it's a large part of why Harper did so well, all the other party's platforms were just "we're not the Conservatives". That's not good enough, and thank goodness, the Canadian people sent the message that that's not good enough.
However, asking for proof of eligibility I don't think would qualify as throwing crap. It's a legitimate question in light of doubts that have been raised. He may well be natural born, and good for him, but why be so coy about presenting proof?
There's lots of crap about Obama floating around out there that hasn't been thrown by the Republican campaign. I think that's to their credit. McCain even got booed at one of his own rallies for defending Obama.
However, in this, the information age, every blogger and his brother are throwing crap around like there's no tomorrow. I don't think any one camp is more innocent than the other.
