Yeah ... anyone who attempts to be neutral and civil with enemies of Israel is an idiot. Will the real idiot please bounce your head off a wall?

Woof!
Hamas offered Carter (according to Khaled Mashaal, Hamas politburo chief) a ten-year truce......with NO recognition of Israel IF

-Israel retreated to 1967 borders

-A new Palestinian State is created.

-Jerusalem is the capital

-there is a "right of return"

In other words, Hamas has promised Israel a ten year truce if Israel agrees to cease to exist at the end of those 10 years.

Right.

After which Carter emerges, practically claimed the road is clear to "Peace in our time".

"Peace in our time" The great pre-war joke.

Carter IS an idiot.

Anyone who believes for a moment that anything but an entirely Jewish "solution" to the mess of the Middle East can be realized.... is the idiot and moron.

Carter is hardly a moron. The guy is a nuclear physicist, he has written sixteen books and is respected all over the world, unlike Bush or any other recent president.
Yeah the Iranians really respected him. How many of our embassies were sacked during his tenure? The guy was the weakest President ever and deserved to be a 1 term loser.

Carter is NO nuclear physicist. He got a Bachelors In Science from the Naval Academy. During his Naval career he did some post grad work for a few months in 1953 studying nuclear physics and reactor technology. That hardly qualifies him as a Nuclear Physicist.

He is also a devout Christian which seems to only be a problem if you are a Republican.

Lets put that in perspective here..

That did zero real damage to America, and massive damage to the muslim world (im comparison)

Not really a bright move, a little like kicking a sleeping bear in the snout...

How do you figure? Maybe you haven't been paying much attention to the situation in America today..... Who has the upper hand when a nation that's grown accustomed to flipping a switch and letting the cool conditioned air flow over them...flicks the switch and the light stays off...as compared to a society that's learned to live with limited expectations and been victim to religious fanatics for generations?

There are quite a few Moslems kicking around the planet Zzarchov and I don't think I can feel the "love" for the USA in that milling throng....

Behavior like the arrogance of the Americans and their "big-stick-mentality" has had its day. Reality is that the homogeneity of the planet is proceeding. India and China, billions the world over aren't going to quiver in fear or anxiety as the United States of Economic Supremacy crumbles....

Wait a while....

Perhaps you haven't looked around at the Muslim world today and how badly this war has hurt them by comparison.

Lets look at the human Cost, Including 9/11 the total US death toll is hovering around 10,000 people. Thats as much as die each season in New York state from Traffic Accidents. Its also cost about half a trillion for Iraq, probably half that again for Afghanistan (rounding it out to 3/4 trillion dollars).

Now compare that to the Muslim world, in terms of the numbers dead (probably nearing a million), the amount lost (destroyed infrastructure, lost productivity from living in a warzone, destroyed resources) and youre nearing the two or three trillion mark when you count the ripple effects on the whole region (which also suffer ironically, when America suffers, so they suffer twice).

Moslem love for the US? Big deal, there are more Non-Moslem's who have similar "love" for the Islamic world than there are are Islamic people who feel that way about the US.

And the Islamic world is in bigger need of love than America is, America's wealth is only 10% external, they are one of the few countries that can simply close its borders and retain about the same standard of living. Most Islamic nations tend to be Export heavy and are on Unfriendly terms with India, China, Russia, the EU, America, Australia and Africa.

This "war on terror" isn't really working out well for the Islamic world, It may be a pyrhic victory for the USA, but its sure as hell going alot better for them then for the Islamic fundementalists, who probably should have thought this course of action through alot better.

Zzarchov

It's been created by America Zzarchov! Who's been meddling in the political system of Iraq, Iran, every nation in the Middle East and Asia for the past hundred years? Who's had key involvement in "regime-change" with the erection of wonderful people like Suharto and Pinochet? Who Started this fire...to borrow from Billy Joel...?

American corporate and industrial interests as needed to feed a completely brainwashed consumer society...that's who!

While Saudi Arabia and oil producing nations have been paid unbelieveable amounts of money over the past few generations, has the United States ever talked about "human rights" violations....no not until they had an opportunity to invade on a pretence they developed out of disposing the Shah and being Saddam Husseins "pal" ...until of course his usefulness diminished....

You like to blame people for being what they are and applaud them for their larceny and lies at the same time....

Perhaps you're a Frank Herbert character (Dune/Dune Messiah)...."Be as a reed and bend in the wind..." Let the wind flow over you and you'll survive, resist the wind and you'll be broken..." (Paraphrasing with great abandon)...

Maybe you're a proponent of the notion that fixed ideas of morality (right and wrong) don't exist, that all morality and all ethics are situational and flexible concepts....

Hope you feel that way when you suffer for your ambivalence.

Uh huh, If I had to guess which one of us suffer's more I'd bet on you...

Regardless of your conspiratorial frothings about who started it,

Its blatantly obvious who is losing the confrontation, and its isn't America. That being said, wars still drain all sides involved so those staying out of it will be the best off.

Wait, gotta stop you there for a second. Isn't no recognition of Israel sorta a good thing?

I mean if they have a 10 year truce and through that whole time they don't reconize Israel's existence.... then technically during that whole time they're not reconizing them, they are not fighting them, since they don't exists...... they are a figment of their own imagination for those 10 years.

Then after the 10 years they wake up in the morning and go "WTF?! Where'd these guys come from?"

But seriously, who cares if they reconize them or not? That's no solid grounds for war.

Because the offer is a 10 year truce before resuming war, not peace. Aka, 10 years of Hamas building up for war before launching an attack...seeing as they are on the ropes now..that doesn't seem like a good trade.

It was a conspiracy that created the state of Israel Zzarchov!

And if you'd kindly point out to me the location of any American defense of an invaision by any Middle Eastern nation...well I'm more than prepared to be enlightened. On the other hand how long has it been that America and its policies supporting Israel has embroiled the nations around Israel....Syria Jordan Lebanon etc. etc. When was the last time that an Arab power invaded America? When was the last time a puppet regime was established in America by the same methods used to put Suharto and many many others in control of foreign resources?

Conspiracy...

You're the one with conspiracy theories...

The conspiracy that the United States is an innocent victim....
