Yes yes yes.... the statements which are currently being looked into in regards to him being tortured to get those statements. Is he 100% innocent? In proper law, yes he is until he is proven guilty. Videos and Pictures in which I have seen do not prove anything for or against him in this matter. He was holed up in a compound with other fighters..... tell me the ages of those other fighters? Do you know if there were any other teenagers or children in that compound in which attacked these soldiers, or was he the only one?
What was this compound? A common house for a family or was it a military base or compound at a remote location or check point? Did he have any weapons in his hands when he was hiding in the corner of the compound when those troops shot him twice in the back?
You're already fighting a lost battle if you're still going on old information towards his guilt.
Did I say that? Are you quoting me?
"Humanity and justice...where has the likes of Omar's Al Queda and Taliban ever provided that? But hey...as long as they are fighting and in opposition to the US they are ok by you!"
^ Exactly what else did you mean by the above?
No... I don't think head is screwed on straight either. Mercy like sawing off heads? Executing every captured soldier thus far. Are there any Al Queda or Taliban POW camps?
Your country has the strangle hold on the media over there, you tell me.
Please Prax...I love how you say capturing kids then shooting them twice in the back. We are not so gullable and foolish statements as this makes us laugh and makes you look silly and a spaz.
Deerrr... it sounds silly and I sound like a spaz for stating facts in the case?
Your troops captured a 15 year old boy, which had two entry wounds in his back and two large exit wounds in his chest.... common sense once again, would tell you he was shot twice in the back. You know, unless you guys invented those Reverse-A-Bullets or something.
What do you think those US soldiers are doing to him in those photos after he got shot. He is being treated. He is being treated a lot better than our soldiers have been when captured. Not a one has made it back.
Now is that in reference to Afghanistan or Iraq, or counting both together in that assertion? Have records to back that up?
We do but it seems you folks have lost so much more in your quest to be different and anti-American. It is sad really how the bad apples of Canada have caused so much discontent for the rest.
a few bad apples in Canada towards the US? It's more like a rotten bag up here ready to be chucked over the border. But hey.... attempt to side track the original point being made, doesn't phase me any. You're still going on this holier then thou Super American witch hunt attitude on anybody who "Seems" to have some sort of guilt... and thus, you've lost whatever humanity there was left in this matter.
Don't like it? Call it Anti-American? Don't care.... that's how I see it, and that's the impression you and others like you give off.
Like I said...I hope he is let go. You folks deserve him and give him and his family a ticker tape parade.
And yet once again, you still think I'd love to adopt the kid and have his face on my box of Shreddies in the morning..... I want a ligit and fair trial and for him to be judged properly, not be thrown in this joke of a system your president thought up in some Coke binge haze.
Not familiar with this case but it looks like you guys showed a lack of humanity.
Ha ha... yeah nice try. The RCMP at the most screwed up on their information and suggested the wrong things..... it was your country directly which took action and sent him off to Syria to be tortured. Saying is one thing, Doing is another. Our RCMP and the Government gave Arar an official apology and compensation for what he and his family went through.
Do you know what the US did for him? Not a damn thing except to say that "his situation was unfortunate." ~ Our country admited responsibility for their actions in this matter, you're didn't.... which is quite typical thus far. (Never you're guys' fault for anything, it's always someone else's)
Now who is getting emotional here? Completely different case altogether wouldn't you think? I do not think anything is flying out the window. What you have is a lawyer trying to get his client off and using the media and the wave of anti-war opposition. He is appealing to the numbed senses of people who will believe what they want no matter what evidence.
To believe what they want no matter what evidence? Don't forget your country's evidence is already starting and being proved to be fabricated and full of lies / contradictions.
I wasn't getting emotional, I was making a basic point. Completely different cases? An adult serial killer who is pretty well proud of what he did and now has a comfy place to live, food and exercise everyday at the tax payer's expense.... the other is a 15 year old kid who was found in the wrong place at the wrong time, who was sent off to be tortured, beaten, shot, locked away for years and dubbed guilty before he even set foot in his cell.... whom at the very worst and if was true.... killed one person.... one soldier in a combat situation.
You don't see anything screwed up at all with this?
