Karrie, "What's the basis for it being illegal to have sex with meat?"

Our laws have several bases, and in the matter of obtaining sexual gratification from a dead deer, the basis is religious and religion-based morality. The law was originally passed to comply with the Old Testament forbiddance of beastiality.

The law has no current basis but in the minds of religious fundamentalists - it is a victimless crime. All victimless crimes are morally bogus. Some crimes victimize the criminal or the society as a whole and may be morally justified on that basis.

But then there is the 'What if everybody did it?' arguement. What if every time you took your car out, you had to dodge men making it with road kill? What if men gave up women for wild meat, and the population plummeted, and then the government licensed dead deer brothels and you know what comes next, don't you?

I think you could proclaim from the mountain tops that it was now legal to have sex with cold cuts and other forms of animal carcasses, and you still wouldn't have many takers. lol.

I can think of quite a few charges that could RELATE to the issue, such as killing a dog just for that purpose. stealing the corpse of someone's dog. doing it publicly. but, just a random dead animal, especially one we consider meat and wall decoration? Seems a bit, um, hypocritical and odd.

Thanks Zz... I was worried perhaps I was viewing this from a bit of an abnormal angle. I'm glad to know it's not just me! lol.
Nope, both of you are abnormal

Hey do a deer, don't do a deer. The law don't have no business in the bushes of our nation. Or the middle of the roads.........well............

A mighty dear lesson learned we hope.

Ya see that..........PUN...........I did a PUN..........

That got me thinking. Yes I know "Here we go"

What's the difference between screwing a dead animal on the side of the road and someone who enjoys shoving sausages and hot dogs in their Hoo ha's you sometimes stumble on in the internet?

(Not me, but a friend)

I mean, they're both dead animals, both are meat... the only difference is one is processed and the other is somewhat fresh.

I have to agree with Karrie. Does it really matter what happens to roadkill? I can see being charged for committing a lewd act in public (unless he brought it home and took it to bed..romantic thought eh?) or public nudity etc, but after that who cares?

True, I mean nobody pays much attention to road kill while driving anyways, besides avoiding it. So what if someone finds a use for it?
