180 000 jobs were created in the good 'ol USA last month.

And they have an unemployment rate of 4.4% now.

Canada is 6.8%, (2005 EST), thats coming down though thanks to Alberta

Compared to EUROPE:

8.4% in Belgium (2005 EST)
9.2% in Spain
10% in France (2005 EST)
11.7% in Germany (2005 EST)

Guess left-leaning, Liberal, secular, nations do not have it that great, hmm?

Come on. I suppose you think the oil got into the ground because of the right-leaning thinkers. Unemployment stats can be churned to create any number you want.

And jobs equals good economy.

People earn money they spend money.

And the USA is a Christian, religious, right, democratic, capitalist society, and has a low unemployment rate.

While France is a atheistic, non-religious, left, democratic, socialist society, and has a high unemployment rate.

This stuff relates to all this!

How come Europe is doing worse than N. America?
The unemployment rate isn't a perfect measurement. How many are underemployed or not seeking employment. How many are collecting benefits and working under the table.

Europe is more than four countries. Some reported rates, whatever they're worth, are pretty good.

You can get all that at the Bureau of Labour Stastics.

http://www.bls.gov/

America has created far more jobs than Europe.

You can see the employment statistics for Europe at the OECD.

No, but a lot of left wing thinkers think we should leave it in there or at least tax it into extinction.

Yes and alot of the Left wants to tax the hell out of everything for social programs galore.

Then people give up working, because half its sent to the gov. anyways, then the gov. doles them out on welfare.

thats what I mean, France is very secular, and America is very religious.

In government terms.

US Presidents reference the Bible all the time, and mention God all the time.

Religion is accepted in US politics (under attack though)

In France would they ever say: "God bless France"?

Numbers can say just about anything. Crime rates are an example. They're only as good as what gets or doesn't get reported.

The numbers alone do not prove it. However, numbers are the only we have to test hypothesis. If you don’t believe the numbers what is your alternative hypothesis for the success of the United States? A more interesting thing to do would be to plot the tax burden vs the unemployment rate. I agree though with one thing. That is the unemployment rate is a tenuous statistics. It is often a measure of how many people are looking for work then how many people need work. I’m open to alternatives.
