breast milk really is amazing stuff. It's hard to understand why anyone'd use anything else.

Wow! Africa is becoming quite and aids laboratory. First the effect of circumcision on transmission and not the effect of breastfeeding? I wonder something. What if an adult drinks breast milk from an aids infected woman. Will this lower his chance of catching aids? Maybe the breast milk helps to build up antibodies or something.

That's what I'm thinking about. But you don't want to try it, do you?

I wonder if it's the fact that she's infected or just the fact that breastmilk contains things which are good for the immune system

Maybe before long you’ll be able to get it at a health food store.

About 2 yrs ago when I was working in another company, one of our cooks suddenly lost his second child at 8 yo. And other colleagues told me that his first child died at 8 yo too. They didn't look into it when it happened for the first time. And then they had this second baby, and she died too at the same age. Now that's weird. So they had a thorough autopsy this time and it turned out it's something bad in the mother's milk. If they had the autopsy when the first kid died, they wouldn't have breastfed the second kid and she wouldn't have died. So breastfeeding is not always good.

But yes, I breastfed my kid. Lower the risk of breast cancer.

hey u r not supposed to grab the food from those kids, let alone when they are at high risk of HIV. U must be a guy. Guys are mean.

Unless you pay $1,000,000 per ounce. And all the money are sent to Africa.

Yes, who breastfeeds someone elses' kid and lets her own kid drink rice soup or milk from some animal. This kind of job no longer exists now I guess.

Actually, some larger cities have breast milk banks which have taken over that role. I think Vancouver has the only one in Canada. Down here, we buy breast milk to give to some of our premature babies. It costs about $80 an ounce.

What sort of problem with breast milk kills children at the age of 8 years?

Learn now before your wife has the baby: breastfeeding can be really tough!!! It is natural, but natural and easy are two different things. I can't tell you how many moms I've had in tears because they were having trouble with breastfeeding.
