Canada's military is reluctant to take up peacekeeping operations in Africa, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, because senior brass don't believe it's as ``sexy'' as fighting the U.S.-led war on terror, a Liberal senator charged Tuesday.

Ohhh, that's EXACTLY what we need!

Lectures on military affairs from the very Liberal scum that degraded our military to the point we CAN'T do more than one mission at a time.

And I love this crap about Darfur. I would be THRILLED to see the world step in there, and ecstatic if Canada had enough resources to help out without running away in Afghanistan.......

BUT, the lefties forget who is pushing hardest to get the UN to take action in Darfur......a gentleman by the name of George W. Bush.

I strongly suspect that if we made a commitment to Darfur, we would wind up in another nasty little brush war. If we could, so be it, the cause is just, and I suspect that the lefties would lose all appetite for the mission about the time the tenth body bag came home.....

Guess (one only) who they'd blame?

I can't believe you just used the words "gentleman" and Bush in a same sentence...
