This must have been an unspeakable ordeal for the parents of the girl. After eight years I don't imagine there was much hope left. It is a happy ending though they won't get the satisfaction of seeing the assailant locked up.

I didn't remember that particular case, but I googled it and read a bit about it. I found it a bit disgusting that the guy who kidnapped the little brother only got five years in jail. That sort of thing happens in Canada as well, to my chagrin.

RE: Missing Schoolgirl fo

well, that case was very tragic indeed, the poor guy (Steven) was just getting his life back together with his new wife (an old friend from school before his kidnapping) when some idiot knocked his motorcycle over and killed him.

I really feel sorry for him, his wife and his 3 kids, although, it turns out his father (who along with his mother, who both had breakdowns) was found to be molesting his little sister, and therefore no better than the evil reverend Parnell who kidnapped him in the first place.

According to his serial Killer brother (who shockingly, in the film of this, was quoted saying, before they knew wht he did I might add "I'm just going to yosemite" to which his mum replied "he sure spends a lot of time in those woods!!") this was what messed him up.

I've actually camped out at a place called "Indian Flat RV park" which is overlooked by the hotel where his brother did all the killing.

A sadder tale, I dont think you'll ever see.

It's a shame the guy who kidnapped her killed himself. Now he will never face justice, like having the crapped kicked out of him in jail for the rest of his life.

Amen to that. Alas, medical science hasn't advanced far enough to sew the bastard's arms and legs back on him, revive him, and then hang him...or as you say, get the crapped kicked out of him in jail for the rest of his life.

I doubt it. Once you have a child you never stop loving him/her. If I were the father, I'd want to kick the crap out of that guy. I would be furious! But he's dead. I hate it when cowards do that, take there own lives instead of facing up to what they had done.

Yeah well who knows what kind of justice awaits him on the other side or in a future life... If karma exists he's in pretty deep shit!

Those were my thoughts.
