It sure does. Marijuana is the least of America's problems. Let alone a vetran smoking it for pain.

The Supreme Court ruled in June that people who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws, even in states like California that have laws permitting medical marijuana use.

Strange.

this is totally BEYOND insanity. BC being complicit in this is insanity too. Shameful, inhumane , and disgusting.

The Americans should care so much about REAL laws........like international laws that THEY break constantly.

What the heck are they trying to "prove" this time?? How tough they are??? How mean they are?? How inhumane they are?? ( dang.........we already KNOW all that .

Making a statement out of the "little guy".......while ignoring the important laws that THEY BREAK. seems the consistant USR style. They have a hard time learning that brains are more important in today's world than muscle/braun............but old habits are hard to break .....particularly when so many enjoy them.

It can be a law that you can’t do something, where a law has been passed permitting that something being done, without first striking down the enabling law?

Now who’s on dope?

seems they are trying to infiltrate like a malignancy. By the time one catches it.......it could be too late.

Being very AWARE is critically important now. ......as "they" *US* are a deadly/dangerous toxin.

No one is above the law.

This is one time I truly applaud the Canadian government.

Harboring foreign criminals is not in Canada's best interest. The US and Canada have extradition treaties for this reason. Since the countries border each other, a criminal in one country may easily escape to the other to try and avoid criminal prosecution. Bad decision on the criminal's part.

The same holds true in the US. If a Canadian national wanted in Canada is hiding out within the US, US authorities should similarly extradite the individual to Canada to face charges for his/her crimes.

that is idiotic. Removing someone from a hospital on such silly charges , when they are ill............ is something to be admired???? THAT is a very sick attitude. Cold ,inhumane and indifferent. Little wonder the US is despised so much. Not a proud moment for CA either. Appeasing those jerks to the south is going to get mighty costly. In more ways than one.

yep.........and to keep blaming someone else for all ones problems, mistakes and stupidity. When all else fails......they would blame "God". What a crock is right. Totally irresponsible....... and as long as they can find someone to blame they don't have to be held to account........(in their SICK (brainwashed)minds...)

NascarJames, as someone who has more than a few "small-c" conservative opinions (especially on Fiscal matters, where your Prez and Congress have their faces in the mud!) - you are SO far out on this one, that Mars is picking you up on Radar.....

*sighs*

Remvoving a sick person from hosiptal over POT is just idiotic. If he was accused of MURDERING somebody then it would be understandable.

And I can't believe the government did that. Why didn't the **** government take a stand and say that we here in Canada don't throw desperately sick people in jail over medicinal pot.

The RCMP were fulfilling an extradition order. That means that a court someplace told them to do it.

HINT: Anne McLellan and Irwin Cotler would be the people to complain about this, as well as the leaders of all of the opposition parties and the CAP and Marijuana Party.
