Just wondering, where are you from? I am asking because that website seemed like they were depicted as a cool curiosity, rather than the truth.

Anyone who would shelter her is a freakshow.

The radio here announced that her lawyer has been inundated with calls and letters from women who are willing to house her.

They say they feel pity for her.

I suspect that some of them are turned on by her. Some are out for revenge...some want to hire her for the underground porn industry.

Anyone who claims Homolka is some sort of victim is missing something. It's one thing to drug, rape, torture, and murder total strangers. But she even did this to her sister.

It is inconceivable to me that anyone could have pity for her. There is just simply no possible way that she was simply forced into it by her husband.

I have a real soft spot for her - out in the middle of a swamp.

Love it.

She is NOT a victim and never was. She was a gleeful and excited participant in ALL the crimes.

And she is out any day now.

Answer
The Procecution (read Ontario Government) sheltered her by maintaining the terms of the plea bargain even after discovery that she had lied to them. Her lawyer (an officer of the Court) hid the fact of the video tapes for a number of months. He should have been criminally convicted and disbarred.

I'm surprised at the number of women offering to help her. Not saying woman are not physically capable of what she did, but as a woman, I cannot imagine harming another worman for a man, let alone my little sis. I still don't buy into anything out of her mouth, and I think she's playing the media like a violin.

I agree! I think she's stretching that 15 minutes as far as she can. Pity the press is complying. I figure people ought to know where she is ... she is a sex offender! ... but it's over the top. Be interesting to see how many news talk shows she goes on.

I agree GreenGreta ... a nice place somewhere in a swamp would suit her best. She is evil.

I'm not surprised. There are an awful lot of man hating women out there. To them, she is the "poster child" for male perpetrated victimization.

There was a deathpool website where you could place your bets, but you weren't allowed to kill her yourself, cause, well, that's cheating...

We're setting our sights on the wrong target. Karla Homolka is out of prison because the Canadian Justice system sucks big time and if and when she were to offend again, we will be subjected to the same BS from the government and the justice system all over again. Her victims will pay the ultimate price and she'll simply go back to where she has gotten to call home and pick up another dyke girlfriend. It is up to us as tax payers and Canadians to demand that the system finally get tough on the offenders in this country and have them pay for their crimes in misery or as equally as they committed their crimes against us. Criminals from the States and other countries, given a choice would choose Canada as their place to serve their crimes because we provide light and cushy settings as well as cutting their sentences down to a third. In BC Kelly Ellard [ as sick as Homolka] just received a 7 year sentence for her brutal murder and you know damned well she'll lay around, apply her make up daily and threaten to kill the odd cell mate and some day soon will come out and demand fair treatment on the street. Instant celebrity. Only in Canada !

Perhaps I should have been generalising my point and not be speciffic about Homolka and Bernardo but if you're about to defend the Canadian Justice System, you need to take a look at the big picture. In Canada a life sentence should be just that , a LIFE sentence, not seven years cut down to four years because of circumstances. I read of a guy who walked up to a car and put a bullet in the head of a business dealer he disagreed with and he was given 3 years. For every story that we hear of that was a farce for a light sentence we also have one about the guy who gets 10 years for a blue collar crime but that's just why the Canadian system sucks .There is little sense to so many crimes and the sentences applied and in to many cases the victims get shafted while the offenders either walk away or pay little for what they do. As for Homolka and Bernardo, perhaps if the Canadian Justice System were to clamp down on what lawyers loop hole their clients out of, Homolka would be in jail now. The police screw up all to often in their investigations because they can't beat the clever lawyers and the system . Tighten it up to work in the victims favor not the offenders.
