Apparently, he has had an unofficial fan club site since 2000 -
"His admirers have operated an unofficial fan club website at www.ratzingerfanclub.com since August 2000, even selling merchandise displaying the motto "Continuing the smackdown on heresy since 1981."

I love the part about continuing the smackdown on heresy.....wonder if it is like the WWF - Smackdown
