'Dancing mom' gets 3 years for daughter's death

Yeah...I was quite disgusted with that sentence...but then apparently Ontario's judges think it's fine to neglect your child and cause their painful death...
...kind of like how Ontario judges think it's not that bad if you beat your kids and keep them in cages...:roll:

That mom sentenced her kid to a death sentence .Should she not be sentenced to the same? I was also pissed at my local paper for putting it on the back page that little girl deserved better

I would very MUCH consider that possible - a child can die left in a CAR for only an hour or two!!!
Judges need to be held accountable for there sentences. If they hand down a light sentence, and when that person gets out and re-offends, the judge should be fired and charged. That poor kid who'll never grow up because mom went out drinking and dancing. I agree with forced sterilization. She should never be allowed to have kids again.
This ones sentence is no better, she's pretty much getting about 4 years/kid. :x

People neglect animals all the time and you DON'T see it on the front page. Sure, a sensational and gory pet killing might make it, but nothing as media mundane as general neglect. Then there's Terri Schiavo getting a month and a half of front to near-front page coverage and she basically died in 1990.
Here,too, the instances of animal abuse do get front page treatment. The recent denunciation of the Milltown,N.B. puppy mill is one good example. Child abuse cases also get the same treatment.
