Nasty. CNN has a series of pics of dead children. Other agencies are covering the story. The initial blame is that Syria delivered the attack with support from Russia - the possible provider of the juice, or at least, providing the recipe and means of creation.

There are other theories floating around in cyberspace. Let your Google foo take you where it will.

This particular story come from the NY Times.

Over 70 dead so far. Of course, the number will rise.

---

BEIRUT, Lebanon — One of the worst chemical bombings in Syria turned a northern rebel-held area into a toxic kill zone on Tuesday, inciting international outrage over the ever-increasing government impunity shown in the country’s six-year war.

Western leaders including President Trump blamed the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad and called on its patrons, Russia and Iran, to prevent a recurrence of what many described as a war crime.

Dozens of people, including children, died — some writhing, choking, gasping or foaming at the mouth — after breathing in poison that possibly contained a nerve agent or other banned chemicals, according to witnesses, doctors and rescue workers. They said the toxic substance spread after warplanes dropped bombs in the early morning hours. Some rescue workers grew ill and collapsed from proximity to the dead.

It's truly disgusting. The problem is that in Syria, there are about 15 different 'sides' in the civil war; far better to support none of them.

Assad should be executed, but that would just leave the place to the other wolves.

It isn't a civil war
It is another color revolution/invasion because someone needs a pipe line through to europe with the oil they stole out of some of the other countries the US has recently invaded and who also wants to flood every other country in the world with weaponized refugees while not taking any its aparthied self

This is actually the THIRD time the USIS has tried this and the last two times were easily shown to be false too

Assad did not order Syria chemical weapons attack, says German press
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/08/syria-chemical-weapons-not-assad-bild

"In other words, yet another "confidential" report with unsubstantiated findings, very much like what the US intelligence agencies used to blame Russia for "hacking the US elections", is about to be emerge in the public arena, and once again it will serve to stir up public anger at Assad who is now well on his way to winning the Syrian conflict, following the recent takeover of Aleppo."
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-...s-assad-named-suspect-chemical-weapons-attack

the US getting its a$$ kicked again on a conflict IT started is what the problem here is

"Global Warfare: “We’re going to take out 7 countries in 5 years: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan & Iran..”
Video Interview with General Wesley Clark"

Since the Syrians are hellbent on using chemical weapons, perhaps we could get them to drop some on selfsame.

Probably not going to happen. Trump's poll numbers are so bad (so bad...believe me ) he needs a diversion. Hes already doing a 180 on Syria and began sabre-rattling

To be fair to Trump in this case, if the Syrian Government did in fact gas a bunch of people (again) in their sleep then he has no choice than to 180, if its proven true you can't ignore that.

Me, I believe your fu#ked if you do and fu#ked if you don't, so I do like the idea of the civilized world keeping out of barbaric countries's battles as much as possible, but this one man goes against too many of my base. It's the kids, and the evilness of attacking them with chemicals, so yes for me I am 100% for us to go in and take out Assad and his jackals. It might seem stupid, but I would still have to go :((

You aren't really up on who is doing what in Syria are you?? And to think we call the Muslims stupid.
So far all chemical attacks have been bu US supported terrorists. What part of that is escaping what you call 'your brain??

Trump needs some new advisors as much as the usual suspects here do. There is naturally stupid and there is intentionally stupid.
https://sputniknews.com/world/201704051052335110-attitude-syria-trump-assad-attack/
"These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated," he emphasized.
The lethal gas attack "had a big impact on me," he added, saying that this changed his attitude toward President of Syria Bashar Assad.

The chemical attack was an "affront to humanity," he said, adding that the US is raising its voice with the global chorus denouncing the tragedy. Biochemical warfare against enemy militants and innocent civilians "cannot be tolerated," Trump said.
Assad responded to reports of the attack by saying that there are no chemical weapons left in Syria, making it impossible that the attack could have stemmed from the Syrian government.
Moscow succeeded in negotiating a deal with Damascus to oversee the elimination of its chemical weapons arsenal in 2014. In that same year, Russia and Syria completed the goal of destroying all the weapons under the direct supervision of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Maybe Americans and Canadians are just naturally dimwits at the best of times. (both at home and abroad)

It basically comes down to which one is the lesser of 15 evils.
Really?? How hard is it judge the US and it's 15 brands of rebels compared to Assad and Russian beating them all back as to is causing horrors and who is actually trying to stop them.
Is the west in such denial because they don't want to admit we are the cruelest people on the planet and we have been for almost a century. Stupid people only have one fate awaiting them and the sooner it comes the better off for all.

What little war mongers we are, we don't even care if the facts are right before 'retaliation' is the chant. (meanwhile the real criminals are protected in the US.

The United States warned Wednesday that it could take unilateral action if the United Nations fails to respond to a suspected chemical attack in Syria that has left scores dead, including children.

Considering this dickhead probably helped plan the murders he got the right word but not who it should apply to.

Syria Attack 'Heinous', Says Pentagon Chief
U.S. Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis on Wednesday said the suspected chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of people in Syria was a "heinous act."
"It was a heinous act and will be treated as such," Mattis said in response to a shouted question as he met with Singapore's defense minister at the Pentagon.
He did not elaborate.
