It surprised them? You mean despite their claim that last month's growth was unlikely to continue because of a lack of impetus behind it.

Yes, now you can have you choice of up to 150 different sexual identities, be unemployed and carbon free ( except for pot emissions ) for 2017.

A great time to be alive.

Much worse than anything we ever saw under Harper! He's been in power barely a year and we are already in NEW debt up past our eyeballs!

Keep on repeating the myth - eventually even you might begin to believe it.

I expect none. But it certainly would have been much worse if the Conservative plan to severely cut spending had been followed.

economic cycles are as certain as weather changes
the only constant being "change"
you can make money in a down trending economy if you have a clue

guess if you saw things as they are and bought USD a while back
chances are you wouldn't be bitching about the relative value of the CAD today

BTW
the bond market is and will unravel no matter who is in power nor where
the debt bubble will burst no matter what

...and because all recent PMs of every stripe have been borrowing at interest from foreign lenders, while we have have a central bank whose charter permits interest free loans to the government for certain types of projects and infrastructure..

you will NOT get what you pay for no matter who is in

Instead, the government said it will take advantage of low interest rates to borrow money and spend nearly $30 billion more this year than it takes in.

Your score on being right is about on par with flossy's.

And anything you post is on a par with the Onion.

Pretty much. (I've really been wondering how the hell we all got through the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s without the internet) :) :)

Are you deliberately attempting to sound stupid? A modern nation without the internet would be on a par with a nation in the decades you mentioned without a modern communication system. What's your next analogy? 12th Century Russia?

Absolutely not, I've been a person most of my life who has always figured that because "everybody has something" is NOT a reason for me to have it. I don't give a f**k about the Joneses! :) :)

Man, somebody is sort of being a post Christmas Cocksucker.

I'd call you a dick or a ****head or even dick-cheese, (Hey look, dick-cheese got through too.) but cocksucker best describes an idiot like you. Yes, more spending, that is the best way to stimulate the economy, especially when you're investing in other Countries and besides, when the Justin Services Tax (aka Carbon Tax) gets here, all will balance out.

Because...

Have another sip of Kool-aid Cocksucker, and wipe off your chin.
