John Wayne Bobbitt speaks out 23 years after infamous attack: 'I didn't know she cut it off'

John Wayne Bobbitt -- whose ex-wife famously lopped off his ***** -- claims he didn’t know what happened that day in 1993.
The 49-year-old former U.S. Marine made screaming headlines after his then-wife Lorena Bobbitt cut off his manhood.
Now, he’s telling the tabloid TV show, Scandal Made Me Famous, he hadn’t realized his ***** had been chopped.
“I didn't know she cut it off. She did it so fast and ran so fast — I thought maybe I saw a little bit of her in my peripheral running out the bedroom door,” Bobbitt told the program.
“But I looked down and there was blood everywhere. I applied pressure — I get up and try to put my pants on, and tried to get to the hospital as fast as I could.”
As Lorena Bobbitt sprinted from the house, she tossed the severed organ into a field.
Happily, the missing section was discovered by cops and surgeons were miraculously able to reattach it.
But Bobbitt says that he didn't want to live, saying "I just wanted to end it."
Lorena later claimed that Bobbitt had assaulted her earlier that evening but he was cleared. She was acquitted of the attack by reason of insanity. They divorced in 1995.
Bobbitt later went on to pursue a career in porn.
He starred in Franken***** and John Wayne Bobbitt and a number of other sexxx-rated reels. Bobbitt has claimed he has had sex with more than 70 women.
