You're being disingenuous. From the same site you linked to, 25% of US exports to the European market go to Britain while Britain's exports to the US are approx 1/8 of the EU total. In effect, the US has a trade surplus with Britain. Not sure why they'd throw that away other than for idiotic ideological reasons. As it should be... they are now insignificant to the EU marketplace..
They are like Bosnia.. where are they again and who needs them.

Andy seems to miss the point, the intent of democracy advanced or not as far as I know is to have elected candidates call the shots not eu clique shepards riding herd over them. Having rank and file votes rendered irrelevant by whims of brussels elite irked more than cameron guessed obviously, they want control of their borders and bureacracy. IMO the fact that turkey so easily outwitted brussels on the immigration front convinced many folks eu officials are basically clueless and denture deficient.Otherwise, the disaster is complete, an act of self-harm unprecedented in an advanced democracy.
if he had any sense at all Eagle would realize this was a blow to Cameron, not to Obama
