NDP say photo showing Rachel Notley’s head on golf target inappropriate



EDMONTON – A photo showing a cutout of Rachel Notley’s head being used as a golf target is making the rounds on Twitter.

It was posted Friday with the caption ‘just love the #notley target at the oilmen’s golf tourney.’

The photo was allegedly taken during a golf tournament in Brooks.

The tweet has since been removed.

On Saturday, Ken Fleury apologized for the tweet.

Late Saturday evening Fleury’s Twitter account was deleted.​

The photo set off a fire storm online Saturday afternoon.

Minister for the Status of Women, Stephanie McLean called the tweet “appalling” in the wake of the death of a British MP last week.

What a double standard!!!

If it was a pic of Trump on that green, it would have been a big joke. When it's a women like Notley, everybody complains.

The NDP would have been the first ones to laugh if it was a pic of Trump. What scum bags!!

Yeah, but I remember some dude golfing in Texas, wearing an Obama mask and having some fun with it. Well holy sh*t, the ACLU, Sharpton and the rest of his mental midget bunch got all high and mighty about it. Obviously they were completely unaware of all the jokes, goofs and gags about Dubya when he was President though. Nope, making fun of Obama for being a lousy president is a clear cut case of racism and nothing else.
Just like this incident with Notley is a clear cut case of misogyny.

I remember as a kid my uncle had a Brian Mulroney doll hanging from a noose in the backseat of his car. It was traumatizing. When he'd turn sharp corners, Brian Mulroney's stuffed corpse would swing in your face. I've been a lefty ever since.

A bunch of oil tycoons hitting Rachel Notley's head with golf balls is the best symbolism a socialist could hope for. If I were Notley, I'd take it that I was doing a tremendous job running the province.
