Does anyone KNOW why Canadians want the AR15 restriction lifted? WHY they want to use the AR15 for deer and/or varmint hunting?

Just what you need to go hunting for white tail.. an AR15 semi automatic with a 30 round clip of 5.56x45 - 62 Grain ammo... blow the game all over the forest. File under gun ownership for morons.

THAT MAKES IT A .223 CALIBER. Small caliber gun. Max clip in Canada for center fire semi automatics is 4+1, or 5 in the clip and nothing in the chamber.

Would be nice if morons like yourself would actually research before commenting on something you know nothing about.

I use a 30-06 150 grain ammunition for hunting. You would have to be DAMN good to put a deer down at any distance with a .223 and only 62 grains.

In the Barkerville museum there are two huge Grizzly bear hides. Both were killed by a little old lady using a single shot 22. Just sayin'.

effective range for .223 high velocity ammo would be 400 to 600 meters (for the .308 it goes to 800m).. don't bother to aim because its basically a scatter gun, with lightweight, gas operated, magazine fed and air cooled mechanism.. and you would still will blow your deer all over the forest.

It is designed with enough punch to penetrate body armour at that range with a tumbling bullet to inflict as much damage as possible. And the in the U.S., which is the model gun nuts in Canada crave.. the max magazine capacity is 30. There is absolutely NO use in buying an AR15 with a 4 round mag.

Don't bother to aim? We like shooters like you because you'll miss.

AR-15 is a scatter gun huh?

Do you think these guys are hitting their targets?
