HALIFAX -- The competition is on, police forces of Canada: Who can find the snowiest driver?
A day after police tweeted a photo of a driver charged with driving a snow-covered car in Ontario, police in Halifax charged a woman with being behind the wheel of a "moving snowbank."
Halifax police Const. Diane Woodworth says the woman was stopped on Barrington St. on Wednesday.
A photo shows only a small section of the windshield cleared of snow on the driver's side, and several inches of snow on its roof.
Woodworth says the woman told officers she was on her way to a car wash to melt the snow. She was issued a $180 ticket.
It wasn't as fully snow-covered as the car in Brussels, Ont., north of London, that cops tweeted earlier in the week.
A photograph of the car shows only a small portion of the driver's side windshield was cleared, and the rest of the car completely covered in snow.
