A British woman, dubbed the Barbie Bandit, has been arrested for running a gang suspected in a series of violent home invasions in Buenos Aires.
Georgia Wawman was taken into custody last week after a daring police takedown.
Police suspect the 26-year-old blond is the kingpin behind savage robberies in which the owners of mansions were tied up while a gang of at least eight criminals dressed as cops ransacked their homes.
Wawman is from near Marlborough, Wiltshire -- a wealthy village where Kate and Pippa Middleton once went to school.
Wawman, too, is believed to have gone to a private school there.
Those who knew Wawman from her school days have told British media she had a history of breaking the rules, but -- as one told the U.K. Sun -- would "bat her eyelashes to get out of trouble."
"Georgia was probably the naughtiest girl at school," the friend told the paper.
"She always hung around with the bad girls and would get in trouble for smoking and talking back to teachers. She had lots of detentions but always got out of trouble."
Police in Argentina said the gang would target gated communities and country clubs and go after jewelry and other high-end items.
In 16 separate raids, police reportedly uncovered bulletproof vests, police uniforms and guns.

'Barbie Bandit' says cops set her up, called her a 'dirty English *****'

Britain’s “Barbie Bandit” says she’s been set up and mistreated by leering police in Argentina, who call her a “daughter of a thousand *****s.”
Georgia Wawman, charged with running a gang of violent police-impersonating home invaders in Buenos Aires, spoke with the U.K. Sun about her ordeal.
She insists police have fabricated the case around her.
Wawman, 26, was arrested at her ex-boyfriend’s Buenos Aires home during one of several daring police raids last week. Police said the gang — as many as eight members — were wanted for home invasions in gated communities. Posing as police officers, they’d con their way into homes, tie up the owners and pilfer jewelry and other high-end booty, police said.
Cops identified Wawman — a blond beauty from a wealthy town in England — as the likely ringleader.
She said her incarceration has been frightening.
“I felt very vulnerable and threatened, then I heard one of the officers, a tubby one sitting in a chair, call me a dirty English ***** in Spanish,” she told the Sun.
“He used a disgusting phrase which includes the Spanish word for prostitute, ‘puta’, and words which mean: ‘You are the daughter of a thousand *****s.’”
The young mom denies her reputation as a wild private school student who turned into a master criminal.
“I went off the rails a little bit like lots of teenagers, bunking off school, being cheeky to teachers and smoking behind the bike sheds,” she told the newspaper, but added: “I was never ever involved in anything criminal.”
