TORONTO — Enbridge Inc. says flow on a pipeline through southwestern Ontario was shut down for several hours by protester activity near Cambridge, Ont.

Spokesman Graham White says the protesters partially restricted flow on Enbridge Line 7 on Sunday night by tampering with a manual valve.

White says the pipe was shut down for approximately three hours on Monday morning as a safety precaution and so that maintenance workers could inspect the valve station.

People protesting is Eco Terrorism? Nonsense, it is protesting and protests
are a part of democratic society always has been. Now shutting off valves
even partially is dangerous, not terrorism but dangerous and there is a difference.
Dangerous is a stunt even more that might be considered criminal but not meant
to destroy or kill anyone. Terrorism is a systemic planned event to kill people.
I approve of shutting down Enbridge anywhere any time but not in this manner.
Pickets and standing in the way of construction as civil disobedience and on
open line shows etc. Enbridge I have no use for, they started with a lie on video
when they proposed the passage through BC waters and they have not looked
after their infrastructure in other jurisdictions.
I am not in favor of what these people have done and they should face prosecution.
As for other pipeline companies Kinder Morgan for one I have respect for but
Enbridge no.
Just so you know in BC this compnaies video removed hundreds of small islands
and showed a safe straight path to the sea. I am not on the environmental bandwagon
but I do not support anything Enbridge would do in BC.
