Not nearly as badass as those inner city gangbangers.
The difference, of course, being that the gangbangers are relentlessly pursued by the government, and when caught, imprisoned for long stretches under harsh conditions (this not being Canada). The cops, by contrast, are paid by the government, and defended fiercely when they kill people.

And don't forget the "victim" demographics. Big difference there too.

True. Among non-cop homicides, people are overwhelmingly killed by people of their own race, obviously a function of the de facto segregation in American society.

Among cop homicides, the perps are overwhelmingly white and the vics disproportionately black and brown.

Any stats on the race of criminals? Are there significantly more black/brown criminals than white?

Northern Ontario,
There's no way to know. Unless you're so naïve as to believe all people arrested are criminals, and that all criminals are arrested.
